Team is named:

Miller;
Cahill, Forde, Hannon;
Gunner, Chesty, Fannin;
McCabe, Brennan;
Cullivan, McKeever, Flanagan;
Jayo, Gallagher, Jelly.

Not risking Lyng which I can only think is due to worries over the Croker surface injuring him again, or else hanging on to bring him in as an impact sub later on.

Brilliant to see Johnston back if he's any way fit and in form a big pitch like Croker will suit him down to the ground, no pun intended.

Midfield and half back line still a major concern, even if half forward and half back line looks interchangeable you'd like to see Forde out there where he's done better in recent games when moved out, and the loss of Sean Brady as a midfield option is a miss as well. Walsh would have been handy to have around to keep tabs on Seamus O'Neill if he's playing, a rough enough client who will bully aggressively if he's let away with it. I expect Cullivan to be helping out in here as his main duty.

Lyng, Larry and maybe a few other decent enough lads on the bench you'd hope, it's probably the best team we have at the moment with Gaynor off the radar, Mulvey suspended etc.

The forwards are very small. Would there be any of them even 5 10" . Shouldn't b a problem if they get the right type of ball played into them.  Good to see Fannin further out aswell he will give good ball to the forwards.

Someone told me the Tg4 decided not to show the Division 2 semi-final games on Saturday night??? I kind of assumed it was common enough knowledge and not a secret but now I dunno if it's true or not (the GAA website still shows them as being on 'live') That said, the guy I heard from is usually spot on with this sort of stuff...

Setanta had the rights to Saturday night games for the season so far.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B
