I have been to a few sporting occasions, but nothing comes close to the claustrophopic atmosphere of Croke Park for that Tyrone, and Armagh All Ireland semi final.

What he said, I have never heard noise like it at a sporting occassion. Was just not a bit above average, it was scarily loud.

John O'Shea, Given and Clinton Morrision were there, met them outside before. Always wondered what they thought of it.

What they said.

Usually there is that buzz for the few seconds after the ball is thrown in at the start of the game but the buzz lasted the whole way through the match, never experienced noise like it.  It was unbelievable.

Hmmm ones I would like to do?

I'd like to see Woods or Harrington approaching the last hole at the British Open.

I am hoping to get to Celtic Manor for the next Ryder Cup.

Liverpool winning Champions League.

The one thing I want to see, hopefully some day it happens, watching Dromintee winning the county title. That would not be topped by anything.

I think there are few things that come close to going to watch your club on a lovely summer's Sunday. Even if it's a mid table Junior clash.

Things I'd like to do;

* Watch the climbers in the Alps on the Tour de France.
* See my club in a Championship final.
* Attend an ashes test match, with the sun shining. Preferance to Lords, or the MCG.
* Visit the San Siro for a Milan derby.
* Watch Ireland in the World Cup (Cricket or Soccer).

Think thats the big one for most people, something really special about the big occasion with your own club.

crossed quite a few things off the list already, but theres still a load more i wanna see:

-cheltenham
-six nations game
-champions league game
-a golf major
- ryder cup
-munster hurling final
-rugby world cup
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Listen to the last hour of Test Match Special today. Absolutely superb sporting entertainment.

Still there is something wrong when you can (in two of the the three games) be torn a new one yet still draw the match and lead the series 1-0.

I had a modest bet last night on England to hold on for the draw at 11/4. Seth Efrica were 1/4 to win. Aye that never sits too well with me when basically for the last 3 or 4 hours the English batsmen were not even trying to play a stroke.
