As for the logistics, if people left in decent time for Casement there wouldn't be a problem.

I left Coalisland 2 and a half hours befor kickoff and still missed the first 10 minutes even though throw-in was delayed by 10.
45 miles in 2.5 hours....I think I allowed plenty of time given I travel to belfast every day in rush hour traffic and rarely need so much time.

I left Clogher at 12.10pm around 58 miles to Belfast, parked behind the flats on the right hand side of the M1, a 5-7 minute stroll up to the pitch and in the ground for 1.40pm.  There were tailbacks and I was held up for around 15minutes, but some people are thick! Everyone in the left hand lane goin off the slip road cos they want to turn left and drive right up onto Andersonstown Road, whilst nobody willing to turn right at the roundabout!

The main part of the problem of course was the throw in time of 2pm.  Obviously many people waited until after Mass to leave, I didn't leave as I said until 12.10 but that was cos we couldnt get some out of the pub.  I don't think there would be the same problems for a 3.30 or 4pm throw in! I think Casement as a venue is great for a championship match at the right throw in time as many people would go up earlier.  As for Ulster Final day it has to be Clones every time for me!

Was it not Windsor Park you were going to if you were looking for a kick-off?

Living in Belfast I would prefer to go to Casement for the match but very little beats Clones on Ulster Final day.  As for the traffic problems for the Tyrone v Derry game, I can sympathise with those coming on the M1 but with a 2:00pm kick off, had people left at 11 there would have been a lot less problems.  You would have had to sit through Derry v Down in the minor hurling however.

Clones is the traditional venue for the Ulster Football Final and it should be kept there. This might be the only chance for some Antrim fans to be in Clones for an UFF (pardon the abbreviation!) with Antrim actually playing there. I have been to a few UFF's but never though I'd be at one with the Saffrons playing and you never know they might pull it off and complete the double! The hurling final is played in casement and all we have to do is raise the standards of half the Ulster counties and we'd have a hurling championship to match Munster and a venue to match Thurles!

Clones every time. Disregarding the traffic issues at both locations, Casement just has no atmosphere, either outside the groung before a game, or inside during a game.
