Looking at the horrible little hoody hobbits around dundalk and drogheda you'd question the sexual preferences of the many vikings that arrived on that coast. not too many 7ft dolf lungren lookalikes playing for louth. Well the locals have a habit of making a harsh welcome as Norse/Viking raiders, the Tudor Navy, Barbary Pirates and Spanish Armada all learnt to their cost when they messed around the coast of what is now Mayo.

Judging by the brown eyes and swarthy skin of a high percentage of you westerners it seems the Mayo and Galway ladies gave the Armada sailors a very warm welcome indeed!

Galway may have but Armada ships that landed in Mayo had their crews murdered on the beachs.

Our Iberian characteristics are more likely a result of Ireland's oldest settlers.

Not the case at all, a lot of of the "brown eyed and swarthy skin" locals can trace their bloodlines back to Spain, also surnames live Lavelle can be traced back to there as well.

The Lavelles of Achill and most of Connacht are the  O Maol Fabhail. Also most other Irish Lavelles are from Gaelic Clans. The name is found in England from both Irish moving there and FRENCH (not Spanish) Huguenots. The French name itself my have Irish origins too.

How feckin difficult can it be to find out where this is?

I am sure all big ships have some GPS locator (FFS my phone has an app to identify ships) and even if this is 'off-line' is that not some satellite that can find it. Jazes, if the Americans can see a Taliban scratch his hole in Afghanistan surely then they can find a big fcuk off ship on the oceans.

Yep. But you have no idea how interested americans are in taliban holes. Dont forget the canadian gov. Cut this boat loose in international waters in the full knowledge she'd head our way

I seen a serious size of a rat the other night.
