There are some frictions, but not that bad that I've seen. Most of my experience is from watching and talking to people in South Kerry, and it basically operates like a County team. You have a Divisional Board which appoints a management team, and they select the players from watching them with their clubs. Every club will tell you they should have another one or two on the team, but no more than your average county team 'discussions'.

It is supposedly the greatest strength that the club teams have, this unity of purpose, but I'd say a lot of the recent Kerry champions have been Divisional Teams.
