America a funny country who dont really believe in climate change, even though they suffering more severe weather events in recent years.

Daughter was in her me of those summer camps last year.. it's Scary how quick flash floods cause so much damage and how ill prepared we really are to preventing then

We had one here in NYC in 2021. Think it was ten inches of rain in little over an hour. I've never seen anything like it. We had a whitewater river running down our steps into our basement, but got off lightly with the damage. About half a mile away, a Nepalese couple and their young child got trapped in their basement apartment and drowned, as it filled up so quickly they didn't have time to get out. The drainage system in the city simply wasn't built to cope with that quantity of water.

Blowitupref

Today was the highest temperature of this year so far

back to normal temperatures and the rain by Monday.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

My thoughts on today's heat

Wouldn't have fancied lugging a Lambeg round the roads today.

Thunder and lots of lightning tonight, what we get on this island after a very short spell of sunny warm weather.

Anyone getting it bad yet? Not too bad in Tyrone. Just a very windy day.

Dag Dog

Seems like the warnings have been exaggerated.

It's been a bit like holding out before you go, when out for pints!

Once you break the seal you're flat out pissing!

My lawn is a f**king disaster. Can't get near it with the rain. I'll need to let a dozen sheep in to get sorted.
