#1283
The Universal  (by a country mile)
Parklife
To the end

Duine Inteacht Eile

1. Charmless Man
2. There's no other way
3. Beetlebum

A few could be interchanged.

Mourne Red

They didn't really do the anthems, the floor fillers, or the riffs of their contemporaries. I always got the sense they could have as they were clearly talented. Just more refrained. Maybe this has served them better in the long run. But I prefer their more anthemic tunes.

The Universal
Song 2
To the End

Substandard

Yeah, I always thought Oasis for anthems, Blur for range.
My 3 would be:
-End of a century
-Coffee and TV
-Boys and Girls

If allowed to include Gorillaz, then On Melancholy Hill knocks out Boys and Girls.

For Tomorrow is a  good tune too.

Bit of trivia, I heard recently. The dozey aunt from  Derry girls plays Damon Albarn's girlfriend in  the video.

The likes of  Tender and Beetlebum  never  really worked for me.

Girls and boys, and Country house , I can't  hack any more .

Puckoon

Charmless Man
Parklife
The Universal

Song 2 is fuckin terrible which I expect is why it's popular in the states.
