Same 3.

Is it true Meatloaf was hit on the head with a can of beer on stage in Carrickmacross and had to cut the concert at 4 songs?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Ah, so it did happen. I didn't  dream  it.  I wish more  bands would  play places like that.

Did  the saw doctors ever play on Clare Island?  And if not , why not?

TwoUpTwoDown

For Crying Out Loud
Objects In The Rear View Mirror
Paradise By The Dashboard Light

I remember the night he died I was nearly home from work and Absolute Radio announced they were playing Bat Out of Hell in its entirety...kept driving until it finished. Picking 3 was an injustice to the master of the Power Ballad.

This may well be the most pro-Meatloaf community I know of.

I move to rename this site the meatloafboard.com

Big Meaty hit some really low points financially after his big hits and ended up gigging in lots of small bars, obscure places to make ends meet before he teamed up again with Steinman for the relaunch.

You gotta remember it's the person who writes the song that makes the most in royalties etc etc.

Meat Loaf himself was at one stage a vegetarian. Speaking of vegetarians, surprised no requests for those Irish-Mancunians The Smiths.

Good stuff, Austin.

Surely it's time to do some modern artists rather than the oldies..
