Captain Scarlet

This was touched on in the Leinster GAA thread but feck me the Championship is up and running...ALL the chatter about losing eyeballs for the split season is null and void if you don't push it.

RTÉ did this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leROGi2lzvE

The GAA have this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXnt1P6Ikyw

For the league...I am not sure what this is?! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqQAsdg7h0Q

Like I never understand who is this for? Surely you want to highlight the excitement, not ropey voiceover and slow shots...it's just boring.

They want people to use #ExperienceTheUnforgettable - like who is going to type that into their social post?!

In fairness GAA+ is going to be putting a lot of stuff up on YouTube and will have shows, but missing a trick not having something aimed at kids.

I'd hate to think how much is being spent on this promotion and you end up with a snoozefest.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

One thing which should be put forward is that hurlers should not have their helmet on in the pre game parade

They need a few Tiktok idiots to make short videos for the kids.

Captain Scarlet

Very few of them are actual idiots. But what harm if they did.

Better than sweeping cinema and slow music.

I swear they've being doing the same ads since I was a child in the 80s.
Somebody stealing a wage in the GAA marketing department.

The GAA outsourced their marketing to corporate brands. That's why they're all like a presentation on company briefing day.

Have the draw for the championship the week before the league final instead of in the autumn. Anyone in league finals avoids the preliminary round in their province. More incentive to take the league seriously and more of a build up to the start of the championship. No shadow boxing in the league as you don't know who you meet in the championship. If they could do the backdoor draws in the past, one week out from the next round then no reason they couldn't do the championship draw two weeks prior to its start.

I'd do the draws for the next rounds after the current rounds have been played as well. Easy win to drum up some coverage. Louth win first round and then handed a nice draw the next day. While Dublin face Meath away.
