Well said John

ONeill

A real icon of the 70s and 80s on the sideline.

I remember always getting that feeling that when he praised the opposition before a big game, you just didn't believe him as you'd see the twinkle in his eye.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Don Cockburn

In the 70s and 80s, he had Cork convinced they were the 2nd best team in the country.

Nailer

Micko was a true icon of the game and his success with teams outside of his beloved Kerry is unmatched.
The suits in Croke Park really should have appointed him manager of the Compromise Rules Ireland team, Heffo got it ahead of him. Even in subsequent years he wasn't considered?

Fair play to ROG for putting up a tribute to Micko on the big screen yesterday.

I bet half the Munster fans didn't have a clue who he was!
