Quote from: general_lee on March 28, 2025, 08:25:39 AMWith the amount of gen z gimps running about with their burst fades, nose piercings and RUC moustaches kitted out like I was circa 1995, or the smicks who wear their North Face shorts in all weathers, I have embraced the whole not caring what I wear or what others think of what I wear approach. I think I stopped following fashion trends about ten years ago. I now opt for good-fitting, long-lasting comfortable clothes. Hoodies, tracksuit bottoms, GAA club gear, comfortable trainers. Chinos and shirts for work. Nicer chinos and shirts for going out.

As a millennial gimp with a burst fade how dare you

Denim jackets- yea or nay?
Used to wear them constantly back in the day, from when they'd be in fashion to completely out of fashion,  and back in again.
Took a bit of a break mid-college when the lumberjack shirts were the thing, so the poor black denim got relegated to farm wear.  Salvaged a couple of years later, and after many washes and much steeping, nailed the weathered look.
And then, unbelievably,  some b*****d robbed it at a nightclub.
Heartbreaking...

Picked one up for the first time since about '96 around 7 years ago. Rock it a couple times a year, but never with blue denim on the bottom side.

Corduroy is coming back in a big way.

Get thee to Seamus Kelly's fashion emporium in Moville, the man has a ' corduroy' department in his shop, shirts, slacks, jackets, frocks. He also stocks Mikasa gloves for the corduroy loving footballers

Corduroy back in?!

When did it go out?!

Hard to beat a comfortable pair of jeans, I've tried on skinny jeans but they're definitely not for me at nearly 50. Good to see hoodies becoming more popular and trendy, I would wear them a lot. Shorts are great now from this time of year on, I'm not a fan of them in the colder weather.
