Couldn't agree with you more,I rarely drive the car but hate to hear her saying a light/message has came on while she was driving 😂 I'll keep Yas posted on how I fair out, have even joined a insignia fbook group here to see if anyone else suffered this torture

Quote from: bigfrank on March 05, 2025, 09:32:53 PM2019 Vauxhall insignia just turned 60k miles. Warning has come on the screen saying "service adblue system, engine restart prevented in xxx miles"

Have always kept the adblue topped up in the car and when I seen the message the first thing I did was top it up,I can usually see the level the adblue is up on my car screen but can access anything now as that message is permanent on the screen and can't scroll past.

Car no longer under warranty so will likely have to speak with mechanic I'm assuming

Get your mechanic to map the adblue system out

Put it on computer showing that exhaust filter needs replaced,no idea of the cost involved to I start pricing the part and then labour on top of that, don't even know if this will def fix the issue but it's what computer in garage is saying

You need a good mechanic to diagnose what has caused the failure, could be a dodgy sensor, vacuum problem, injector issue. Modern diesels are getting to be hardly worth the bother.

They are a serious pain in the hole when they start giving bother between injectors, DPFs etc. and the MPG gap is much smaller these days. I don't need to pull heavy loads (apart from myself!) so I'll look at petrol next time around.

More lights than a Christmas tree on mine atm, was on the dealerships OBD machine.  :-X stick or twist time

Car wheel was letting out air so got it dipped in water and valve was leaking so needed changed. It's a sensor valve tho so just put in a standard valve for now so could use the car as didn't have a spare for it. Are sensor valves dear??

Who do you get to programme/activate them to the car? Car is showing up a fault as wheel reads as 0 on the on screen computer and will fail the mot so have to sort it sooner rather than later, there is always something isn't there

Wildweasel74

Am not sure u fail a mot on it as its a sensors fault, I think they could be up to £100 to replace.

I dont think that fails MOT. I put my van through the test with that light on, after market wheels don't have the monitor and never turned down because of it.

Engine management light comes on in my Honda cry.
I rest the fan/ air conditioning buttons and on most occasions it does not come on again when I start the car. Halfway down the road it will come on again. Obviously something to do with the air flow
Anyone recognise this problem ?

2017 Hyundai Tuscon, engine light came on and it is losing power in the higher gears. Doesn't really accelerate in 5th or 6th but not too bad in the lower gears. Any ideas if it is serious or likely to get worse?

Had that problem with the Santa Fe, was in limp mode.. can't remember what the problem was but cost me a few hundred quid, that was over 15 years ago, sold it after that, hod knows how much it would be now
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

I had an i40 that went into limp mode a few times, turned out to be a diesel filter problem. They're very sensitive to any contaminates in the fuel.

bennydorano

Mine never went into limp mode but I had similar issues, DPF light was on - the cheap option remedy was to drive on a motorway for 20 mins uninterrupted in 3rd gear at High revs to burn off the soot build up.

I bought an OBD reader of Amazon as well, great job for less than £20. Easy used and will tell you what the issue is.

I got shot of my beloved Mazda. Petrol yoke now.
