Across the island there are probably next to 1m without power and it will be a long time before the last of those gets the power back. They have already mobilised the French crews to come as soon as things settle down, and perhaps they can get some help from southern Britain, Scotland will be just as bad.

Wonder would it have made more sense to deflate the roof a day ago, then place a load of weights over it when it was down and on the ground.

Isn't tomorrow meant to be ok?

The weather tomorrow will be OK, and the games will be too provided that the roof of the stand hasn't blown on to the pitch and that the floodlights have a power supply.
