I live in Muff, not the village but the townland and its exactly 1.6 mile to our club (Steelstown). Its probably  another mile or so in to the village. Muffs pitch is at the other side out of the village. Id say pitch to pitch could only be 5miles max. There is plenty of ones from our club and the city that live in Muff.

6 miles or just over pitch to pitch, I'd cycle those roads regularly. Muff, district of Derry City, NoI

Yeah between 5 and 6 miles. Muff Village is nearly as close to Steelstown Pitch as their own pitch according to Google Earth.

I know the area well as I live here, regardless, original point that Naomh Padraig is practically a Derry City club is still nonsense.

I'd be surprised if Bell wasn't cleared, nothing in it.

Was he not meant to have struck the Cruppen player?

Tbh I'm not so sure, men either side of me, 1 was sure it was a strike or two, 1 said, no, it was grappling and attempted grabbing at the shirt collar. Either way, he shouldn't have reacted and didn't seem too shocked when the red was produced.

For him to be cleared there would have to be video evidence that shows there was no strike.

I'm sure the game was video'd. Bell had his back to where the cameras were and I can't remember if it was during a kickout ie was near play or the ball had been kicked out tbh. Would be some lift if himself and G McKinless were good to go

Arva vs Magheracloone game postponed from this afternoon until tomorrow with the weather. Venue change, from Athletic Grounds to Crossmaglen

SouthOfThe Bann

Congratulations to Muff on winning the Junior.

There'll not a be cow milked in Derry City for a week.

Ballinderry win 0-9 to 1-5 but really should have won by much more. Thought they had a stonewall penalty denied around the 52nd minute when the Derrylaughan keeper cleaned the Ballinderry player after he had passed the ball. Brian Kennedy with a straight red in injury time which seemed to be a bit harsh.

SouthOfThe Bann

Daylight robbery from Arva.

2 late goals. Magheracloone far better team on the day.

But fair play to the Arva men. Fairytale continues.

Austin Stacks comfortable winners against the Cork Champions today so the 'fairytale' will be coming to an end soon whether its the next day out or AI semi.
