Build a modern 25-30k stadium if the euros money isn't happening.

Fully agree.
Sensible but who ever spent government money sensibly?

We were talking about starting this stadium nearly a year ago, not much further on, a year later

Capacity for 12,500.
UeFA requires 35,000 all-seater. If GAA wants to host Ulster Finals in Casement, would want to be 30,000 although they plan to eventually remove some seating and create standing terrace area.

Funding decision due from the Brit Government this week per yesterday's ÁC meeting.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

I wonder if it was a positive one whether they would not have announced it at the meeting?

The only saving grace on this at the minute is that Gordon Lyons isn't part of the decision making process.

That's coming direct from Whitehall.

No doubt he'll be wanting some crumbs of comfort for the soccer brigade.

He's got his NI football fund.

We'll have a spare €13Bn so probably can help out.

On another note Cork Co Board got planning permission for over 300 houses on land they have on Cork's Northside.
They'll make some inroads into their debt when they sell that.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Irish Government really should finish this scheme and send them sectarian bigots over the edge, they'd go into melt down and tell N Ireland to play their games elsewhere.

They could call it the Apple Casement Park.
