You imagine that the 400,000 people and more than 20,000 companies and universities took part in some way in the Moon Landing held great pride individually in their part in the venture. If it was a lie, it would have hit them the hardest. The USA as a (Tax paying Nation) would also had great pride in the achievement. Can you imagine bursting that bubble. Plus 60's USA had a way of dealing with people who strayed, from the President down.

Well,  the British establishment pushed a lie  for years about  what happened on Bloody Sunday.  That  was proven otherwise

Then you have Loughinisland, Ballymurphy,  the Glen Anne Gang etc...  Are those all still  considered conspiracy theories?

Surely the Russians had the technology at the time to watch the Americans and would have been able to prove it was fake? No doubt they'd have made a big deal if it had been?

The great thing about the Moon Landings Conspiracy theory, is whether it is True or False - No body came to any harm or will come to any harm. Nearly all involved are dead now.

Other conspiracy theories such as the Twin Towers, Weapons of Mass Destruction, etc. Are a lot more serious. And hold serious consequences.
