Have to go with Slim on this one, "pride" ? maybe some of the players should have shown a bit more against Derry and they wouldnt be in this heap of shite competition, there should be a media ban put on the Eddie Murphy Cup and hopefully it will go away.

I remember after a big Antrim hurling championship match in a North Antrim hurling stronghold many moons ago one of the turnstile operators came into the bar and bought everyone a pile of drink with the proceeds of the match.......

Which Mc Gourty I think Kevin was planning on heading but are any of his brothers going too?

CJ Mc Gourty,as this thread is titled "County stars in the US" it immediately excludes Kevin "Shaws Road" Mc Gourty.

Well Noname i was at the match and i think its a bit much to blame it all on the Glenariffe players. Tosh was harshly sent off, the other Glenariffe player probably deserved to go but was hit first by our current County captain, (he was in with the sneaky digs on several occasions) So if you are going to apportion blame do it fairly.....

he then got booked for a bad pull across a player not even close to the ball. - explain please.

He actually hit the ball, and Ray Matthews admitted as much afterwards so hopefully that serves as an explanation.

I think Waterfords full back line may come back to haunt them later in the year, they always give you a chance. In fairness they have probably the best set of forwards about at the minute, and any style suits them, Shanahan and Prenderast are almost unstoppable under the high ball......
