Great thread topic.

I have a fairly relaxed relationship with alcohol. No real dependancy or need for it. Have a few when I am out at the weekends, which isn't that often anymore. Sometimes go a few months without a drink. Two weeks since my last.

However, there have been periods, when things have been stressed in my life, where I will turn to drink and have a mad session. The last time was September '17. I had a lot going on in my head and couldn't deal with it. Made a real cod of myself. Since then, I've decided it was happening too often, so made a decision to not drink when under stress. So I now read anxiety books, when things get on top of me.

From January 2019, I am going to cut out drink completely. The last time I did that, I was off drink for 2 and 1/2 years. Hopefully match that and longer.

You've got to hand it to Arlene, her sense of irony has gone through the roof in recent weeks...

The job creation and roles change all the time. Way up in the 1000s at times, when they are doing a PR drive.

Nightmare for the club involved

Dalradian want to do the same in Greencastle, with a Cyanide processing plant.
What?

It is a dramatic way of describing a gold mine..

Go away - we don't want your jobs, infrastructure, money and opportunities. Implement Brexit so we can go back to living in huts. Be gone!!

Tell me what you know about Dalradian, the money it will create for the local economy, where they get the money for the Tyrone Fund from, etc. Interested to hear about the use of cyanide is safe too.

I read Laoislad's post without first looking at the quoted material, and I honestly thought he was talking about something Trump did.

The thing about Trump is, you couldn't rule it out   ;D

Arlene could be in bother after lunch, think she has just been set for a fall.

Dunno, they are all circling to throw Jonathan Bell under the bus. Making him out to be an unstable individual, who worshipped Peter Robinson and jealous of Arlene's leadership...  ::)

So what if you work for an Irish company owned by a Danish company which has a global market for its goods... will that have an effect on the jobs, costs, pricing? The question has been asked but there are no answers other than 'it will be grand'

You are finally reaching the point that the rest of us reached months/years ago.  Remember, when you told us all to forget about it "cos it will all be grand".

It would be hilarious if it wasn't so important.

But this is it, the clever people who have their finger on the pulse, couldnt answer that same question.. so I've come here where there seems to be an answer for everything, and I'm stil waiting.. personally I don't think in my line of work it will have much too much change, but others not so..

Thats if it happens of course ::)

We asked for answers, we demanded answered, we knew things wouldn't be right. Then the Tories jumped into bed with the DUP and we knew we were royally screwed then.

It wasn't a case of it will all blow over as you stated.

Maybe there's an opening for TG4 here. Do RTE still own them or are they independent?
