Not sure. He didn't play in McKenna Cup and I don't think he's back training yet

What about Lee Brennan? He picked up an injury last week when the U.21s beat Dublin but surely he'll be in the reckoning this year?

Yeah if he was a sub on those teams it speaks volumes. Seen him a few times this year and he really is deadly.

U21s playing Down on Tuesday night I hear.

Great article by Joe Brolly. Some people see necessary change as radical change. That's why we're in this mess.

Lot of Roscommon scores came from really poor Tyrone play. As gas already been pointed out more clinical team could have had 3-4 goals against us. The mcCarron (I think) pass across the back line that went straight to the Ros forward springs to mind.

Meyler needs to get more clued in. Saw McCarron giving him a few instructions to that effect. Bags of potential in him though if he cut out the mistakes.

Sludden and McClure were very good, Sparky was excellent when he came on. Petey was, well, himself....a Rolls Royce.

Don't know how much Mattie going off affect things or if he will be available next week.

Sludden MoM for me.

Sludden key man for us at the moment. Intelligent player.
Let's face it we beat an average side today who are likely to get relegated. To concede the way we did today is worrying a week out from Dublin game.

I hear the u21s had a mighty win last night against Dublin.
Has anyone seen the final squad? Can't believe Dan Lowe from Stewartstown has made it. Unreal talent.

He hasn't made the squad because he is overage for 2017. Only by a few weeks though.

Ah right, that explains it.
Anyone got the final u21 squad for this year?
Michael McKernan Coalisland is Captain and Peter Teague dromore Vice Captain.
Don't know if the final squad list is available anywhere but.

Aye McKernan is a great player. Is Teague the big strong full back lad?
Would like to see the final squad but it doesn't seem to have been released

With Down humiliated in their own back yard Fermanagh, how long before the knives are out for Burns. They have yet to win a competitive fixture since he took over but yet Jim McCorry was sacked after one season during which he got a promotion from div 2. You would have to have some sympathy for Burns as I don't think he has the players, however you would also have to ask questions of the Down county board in terms of who hires and fires their managers. They have made some crazy decisions over the years.

Burns clearly hasn't the ability to get the best players in Down on the pitch. Martin Clarke is on record saying he wasn't approached. Incredible oversight by Burns

Genuine question to Down people. Why is Pete McGrath never considered for Down job. He'd jump at it and look at the fine job he's doing in Fermanagh.

Maybe it's got something to do with how badly Down struggled for the last 6-7 years of his last tenure?

In fairness I don't ever remember Down being worse than they have been this past 2 years

We're very defensively set up under horse. Mickey to me doesn't look to be involved in the game plan side of things. I think we'll best Roscommon easily but bigger tests ahead. Our lack of firepower could be our downfall in Div 1
