Owen roes sent a letter to Ballymena saying Ryan Mayse played against them. Mayse near got contract terminated. £300 a week. What are Owen roes at here. Disgraceful behaviour from the club

Surely that's not true!? Would make no sense to do that.

I said from the start the decision to move the u20 championship was crazy. In trying to tackle player burnout they have caused more problems for clubs. It was bad enough it being played over the summer but now they've added a league as a warm up with games played over some weekends where there are club fixtures.

It wouldn't be so bad if there were u20 games the same weekend as Tyrone matches (as club games aren't on those weekends anyway) but that doesn't seem to be the case. Many of these players would be key players for their clubs.

Its a shambles and puts the CCC into a very difficult position. I'm not sure if the likes of Trillick/Errigal/Killyclogher have any U20's in the panel but are they expected to play next weekend without both their county players AND their U20 players? Extremely unfair!

Very interesting to see how the county board deal with the upcoming Tyrone U20 fixtures also. Tyrone U20's are due to play on Wednesday 29th May and Saturday 1st June, there is also a full set of starred fixtures set for Sunday 2nd June. Bearing in mind that U20 players are not exempt from starred fixtures will the county board ask these players to play 3 matches in 5 days? Sense to me would be to move the affected matches to the following Friday night but we'll see. Edit: Scrap that idea as U20 have another fixture on 8th June and potentially another on 15th June, the day before another set of ACL fixtures. The GAA fixtures are a complete shambles and as is becoming the norm, the clubs are getting the brunt of it!

I'm not usually one to complain but this is a slap in the face for clubs again. To call off senior club matches because kids (who are ineligable to play senior football anyway) have a match is ridiculous. So we potentially have a summer in front of us that means adult footballers can't play when Tyrone seniors have a match but they also have to play second fiddle to kids, I repeat, who are ineligable anyway. Whats next? Tyrone U16 development squad have a match so ACL league matches have to move?

They're not just 'kids'. They're representing our County in the Ulster Championship. Having gone undefeated all season until last Saturday the least we could do is give them the respect they deserve.

Get over yourself.

I'm sorry to tell you but they are just 'kids'. Our county is represented by a lot of age groups in Ulster Championships, should we just put everything on hold until they play as well? No one wants them to win more than me but to hold up games for approx 1000 adult players is quite frankly, ridiculous. If you can't see this and feel the need for me to 'get over myself' then there isn't much more I can say to you. I will ask you one question though, should U17's continue to play on alternate weeks from Tyrone seniors should the ACL be shifted about all summer to accommodate U17 players who aren't allowed to play in the senior matches anyway?

Everyone gets very titchy around this time of year! lol Over the last 3 years fixtures have been released on 19/3/16, 15/3/17 & 9/3/18. At the last meeting, as far as I know, it was made clear that fixtures would be out the week following the Championship draw or possibly 10 days later.

See the new cork one, very lazy from O'Neills, just the red Tyrone one rehashed, suppose not much else they can do but im sure they coulda done something with it

O'Neills give county boards a wide range of samples or proof jerseys for them to choose from. The county board will have final say in which design they go for. Dublin are rumoured to have received over 50 different styles to choose from.

Derry / Re: Derry Club Football & Hurling

Took a trip across the into the dark side to watch this, first time watching a Derry Club Championship match in a few years. Enjoyed the match, like everyone I thought Slaughtneil would run away with it after 20 mins. They have a very simple game that is based on doing the basics very well, I see a few calling the 2 teams very defensive which I feel is unfair. No sign of the double sweeper which you see a lot of in Tyrone. Coleraine got going towards the end of the first half and probably were happy enough going in at half time 4 down after a very slow start. Slaughtneil kept Coleraine at arms length for a lot of the second half but the goal changed the swing of play. Only one winner for me after the goal, I thought Slaughtneil started to look very sluggish/tired and seemed to run out of ideas. No shame in them looking tired or lethargic after the efforts that they have put in over the last few years. On the ref, where I was sitting both sets of fans were not happy with him, personally although I thought he got a few decisions wrong. I think a lot of the frees Slaughtneil were looking for towards the end were dubious enough and he got a few of them correct. I can see why Slaughtneil were angry with him to an extent but in my opinion the match was win because Coleriane looked fresher and hungrier.

Soccer clubs are well versed in portraying GAA in negative terms and using moral blackmail to get their way. Local media will usually lend them a hand.

Only rent it to them if it does not interfere with your own training and games, charge a proper rent with payment up front.

As above, but they need to provide their own public liability and as your club are the ones making the massive outlay with the club ensure that the rental fee is worth the hassle.

Willis Insurance still won't agree to it and the club will be expected to pay out of their pocket if anyone claims. There has been recent cases where claims have been made against GAA clubs regardless if another company or club has public liability ie. a bouncy castle company. See attached whereby a Longford club were fined for allowing soccer on their grounds. I'd recommend that this is a massive no-no.

Damian has reffed a lot of our games in Tyrone here for Ulster League, a gentleman and a very fair ref. Disgrace what happened, players will always have brawls etc but spectators entering the field is a worrying trend.

Book sales, book sales, book sales.

Would love to see the email from the publicist telling him to get as much exposure as possible over the next 2.5 months. God, the Edendork lad has done him some favour.

In hindsight, a very good point!
