Don't take any clothes that are expensive as from my experience you won't come home with any of the clothes you went with.
Your going just as the Ozzie summer is starting so plently of t-shirts and shorts...and loads of Sudacream ;)

afraid to ask  ;D

General discussion / Backpacking in Australia
September 07, 2007, 02:01:39 PM
I'm heading to australia in 6 weeks and have started thinking about what to pack.I plan on doing quite a bit of travelling round, maybe stopping off for a month or two wherever takes my fancy.Has anyone done something similar that could give me any tips on what to take and what not to take?I'll just be taking one backpack and would like it to be as light as possible!

just after making it into work now-great win and performance from killyman yesterday.augher badly missed cassidy.he came on halfway through the second half but obviously wasnt 100%.kieran kelly was the referee, let the game flow.apparently sludden was to referee but pulled out late on.he was actually manning the turnstile in galbally!if killyman win the intermediate championship they deserve a shot at the big teams next year..33 years since their last stint in senior.they'll still be massive underdogs against either moortown or greencastle-i fancy greencastle to beat moortown myself but as killyman have shown-championship takes no notice of favourite/underdog tags

laccer what are Killymans chances for sunday? must win game for them!

must win is an understatement!!we've been unbelievably poor this year(c'ship excluded) and a win on sunday would be a massive upset.it's not completely out of the question though-we've such a small panel that losing one or two players really hurts us.that happened at the start of this year and we never really recovered.championship is our only hope for staying out of junior next year.augher will be tough..they have beat us narrowly in the league twice.Aidy Cassidy is a fine player and will have to be contained if we're to win!

surly u's will be full strength for the championship esp for the situation u's are in, im sure everyone will declare thenselves fit? E Holland scored plently of goals for u's last year is he not playing this year? Dont think Killyman are as bad as the table suggest couple of 1/2 point defeats just unlucky

they can declare themselves fit..tht doesnt mean they actually are!we should be as near to full strength as possible.Eddie Holland headed over to england to work, as did john mcshane, both of whom were key players for us last year.We have had a lot of 1/2 point defeats but a lot of these  were our own doing..games that were there to be won and we just didnt finish them off.all the games that we were winning by a point or two this past 3 or 4 years we're now losing by the odd point.

what club are you from yourself longball?

rumours were ripe arpund our club last night that new championship contenders are trying to add to their already impressive squad but asking the McGahans from Killyman and Paul Rouse from B'Ville to transfer to them for next year. Any coalisland, Killyman or Brackaville people confirm this? who do Coalisland think they are chelsea?

big pete mcgahan has cruciate and cartilage (sp) damage and wont be playing the rest of this year.couldnt see him going anyway-would be bad form from the player and coalisland..i'd say brackaville feel the same
