Think that's roughly 12 of the team that played Derry in Celtic Park at the start of the league. I wouldn't think Derry had 12 of their championship team on that night.

Ok, so as long as your old 'comrades' don't bad mouth you, then 'in any open democracy, the voting public, the press and other politicians are entitled to some answers?' doesn't apply?

Oh dear.

I guess if questions are never asked, then we'll never know. The infiltration of the media (north and south) by former workers party members really is a fascinating topic that, for some reason, is never discussed.

Apologies if unclear. What I mean is the player hasn't confirmed he has left and neither has the management. Appears that the Donegal media published the story based on rumour this afternoon.

It doesn't matter what team such a walkout happens to, it's deflating for the county and for the GAA.
But of course, Derry folk are allowed a wry smile.

Mark McHugh will be playing on the 25th May. No one has confirmed he's gone.

The Dublin players deserve huge credit.

In 2008 Tyrone beat them by 12 points. In 2009 Kerry beat them by 17 points.

Cluxton, Connolly, Alan Brogan & Bernard Brogan all played in both. They kept at it and with the introduction of new young players and a few years of hard work and not much opposition in Leinster, they are where they are now.

Hats off to them.

I don't need to see the table again.

The whole thing is public information.

The largest spend on coaching and games looks to be on Dublin, Derry, Cork and Antrim. With those counties having the largest cities in Ireland, it's hardly surprising. I haven't done the sums but per head of population, would they be that far out?

The population of Dublin is about 1.2 million, roughly.
The population of Derry City is about 100k, roughly.

That factor of 12 or so seems to come out in the accounts.

Good to see the two biggest cheating counties in Ireland meeting on Sunday.

Lads, this is nonsense. Every team loves Croke Park. I'm fairly sure the Derry players will relish going to play them there on Sunday and wouldn't want it anywhere else. Playing the Dubs in Croke Park is where you want to be.

The Dubs are putting in a lot of work at grassroots and should be commended. At the end of the day you put 26 names down on a sheet of paper and play a game at senior level. All the underage titles in the world don't count at that point.

The only thing which is a bit of a joke is the fact that they are getting a centre of excellence for no cost. That's poor when you consider the fundraising efforts of other counties.

You don't think having a conveyor belt of underage talent helps in winning at senior level.  ;D Just forget about it.

I say one thing and you hear another. Are you female by any chance?

Of course a conveyor belt of talent is important. Winning titles, however, is absolutely no guarantee or even a reliable indicator of senior success.

Your Dublin obsession is a bit worrying.

O'Shea seems like a bit of an eejit.

Tackling poor, unable to run through defences as Pangurban pointed out. And we had the extra man! It was terrible to watch and I don't think we're 'learning' from the mistakes at all, as they seem to be made and repeated more often than not this year. I said last night we seemed pedestrian looking, and I think the whole set-up is becoming 'pedestrian' in their outlook. To good effect last year we had men pushing up, closing down the man on the ball etc. I didn't see that yesterday. Nor the day before - when I gave them the benefit of the doubt for playing Derry's 'B' team.

Why was Cafferkey not removed as soon as he went down. He was left on for around 5 minutes afterwards, I think. I don't think the subs were used to great effect either. Higgins was never taken off when he played cornerback. We all know what Varley brings to the table at this stage, why not try Adam Gallagher? See if he has it or not? And bringing Feeney on with the game as good as well over, well it's pretty pointless discussing that substitution. Andy Moran when he let the ball go did a few nice things, but his annoyingly overbearing towards taking 2 or 3 solos out of the ball most of the time he got it was not good to watch.

Freeman hadn't one of his best games, then again the ball wasn't going in quick enough to him. Midfield started well, but lost their way (after Doherty got red). Another annoying day out at the office for Mayo. One where lots will say, 'it'll be grand if we learn'. We aren't learning.

PS, sorry to bore Derry posters to tears with my pessimistic ravings and ramblings about the state of Mayo. Well done to ye. Ye worked harder than Mayo yesterday and deserved to win it.

Interestingly, when the game was level and there to be won in the last 5 mins there was 6 of this so called B team on the pitch.

Horan with no respect for his supporters again. You'll have to take what crumbs fall from the cute hoors table. Dublin and Mayo seem to be the most secretive outfits in the country. Not sure why.

Holy jesus, how do you expect to make an u12 team with no kids?

Good man Trap. The thread was always headed this way. Here we go.... ;D

Dublin were like a cat toying with a half dead mouse after they scored their three goals. They've had a casual attitude to the league and that continued yesterday. With nothing to play in Leinster they can afford to be casual. They're gonna take some stopping.

No Mortimers or McDonald. Horan is taking the piss. I'd expect changes before throw-in  ;)
