You booked with Trailfinders right?

How long was the flight and stop overs on the way there?

I booked direct with air canada. I initially went to kayak or one of those but for some reason I ended up checking Air Canada website directly. I dont see the same kind of deals on it now. I booked in early april for a august 28 trip.

The flight left dub at 9:40 and we were in Toronto around noon local time ( thats over 7 hour flight). Had a four hour stop over and another 5 hour flight to San Fran. We were in San fran at about 7:30 pm (local time)

The return was similar time frames. It just felt a lot more draining.

Found a decent price going from dublin to toronto, then onto San Francisco next summer with Air Canada. Anyone ever flown with them before, if so what are they like?

I flew with Air Canada recently ...same trip as yourself. Dublin - Toronoto - San Fran. For the return flight they rang me  about 6 weeks beforehand telling me that the Toronto - dublin flight had to be cancelled and that we would have to fly Toronto - London - Dublin. It was a bit of a pain, but only ended up delaying us about an hour overall.

Great Value.. 276 euro return to the west coast of america. Cant argue with that. They had the touch screen TVs in the head rest in front with plenty of Movies and TV series (comedies, drama, documentaries etc.)

Its a hell of a long journey when you factor in the drive to the airport and the time before initial take off. You'll be grand on the outward trip as the adrenaline will keep you going for your holidays, but the return journey is a killer.

unfortunately i am no longer living in Munich but i was out for the weekend and brought my boots with me. I was the keeper for Munich in their last 3 games. was part of the original Munich squad back in 2002, when i was out there for my placement year, but have been home about 6 years now.

Hi stpauls.

Any chance of a run down of the munich squad? Is Archie still the bainisteoir?

This looks over, but tiger's not the player he was and if his dodgy driving comes back to haunt him tomorrow, he might give somebody a chance,
[/quote]

Thats funny .. why is tiger not the player he was?? tiger was never afraid to hit it in the rough? what qualifies as good driving?

Poor finish from harry. pity. vijay or westwood in the final group

i'll say it again John Maughan is Available (i can see it now on the Galway touchline showing off his sunburned legs in those awful shorts, as he jumps for joy when Galway bate Mayo in Castlebar)

John Maughan is not available..He is busy devising a scheme to get Andy Merrigan back to deel side.

disappointing result on sunday. We were just about headed in a lot of the indiviual battles and thats what won it for meath. They had more urgency going into the last ten minutes and surely deserved to win it in the end.
I was very impressed with Joe Sheridan. As well as doing damage as a player maker and on the scoreboard, he worked his bollix off. In fact all of the meath forwards worked very hard. I think they dominated the midfield sector at the right times and I thought Crawford was a great leader for them around that area.

For mayo, good to see the two Aiden's looking dangerous in the full forward line and I hope they can build on that. I would like to see muppets Killer,Pillar, Thriller combination getting a go next season. None of the backs dominated thier men, so meath had options everywhere. Midfield was pretty tame as well and Harte couldnt get into the game rightly. Parsons was disappointing at full forward, hopefully he can get back into his stride and claim a midfield spot for next year.
In terms of new players, I would definitley start looking at both Joe Keane and James Cafferty from Crossmolina. Maybe the red haired wing back from Ballina, I cant remember his name, wild type of a buck. There probably isn't a huge amount left out there, as a lot of them got a chance during the FBD last year.

Them sat nav apps are quite dear. Would you not just be better buying a proper sat nav. Probably better and more reliable than using it on the iPhone.

To be honest, I think I'd prefer to have just the one device that does all, saves the hassle of multiple chargers and extra gadgets. Two of the most reputable companys are coming out with solutions for the I Phone, so I would expect the app to be pretty decent... My only worry is that the I phone GPS receiver is not as refined as a receiver that you would get in a standard Sat Nav hardware..hence Tomtom offering the App with an additonal  holder (with inbuilt signal booster)

The whole thing about witnesses is fairly dodgy ground to be on in my mind while we're on the subject, would there be any impression of this being a political decision (not to appeal) by Cross given the huge fall out after the incident? Whilst video evidence is fairly straight forward, the notion of an 'independent witness' in Mayo football is fairly funny, unless the witnesses are from China or somewhere, nearly everyone ever involved in Mayo football would have some sort of small grudge against everyone else, or at least a preference between two clubs. But maybe that's just me.

Yes and I agree with the rest of what you're saying. The club is being lambasted from all quarters over this and it would be indecent to lodge any appeals.

The people lamabasting the club wont have a word to say about the next incident that doesn't involve a county player and I include the editor of the western in that. The hysteria that Ros describes is real, especially when you consider that Ronan was back training within a few days and even playing a competitive A versus B game within a week. Posters close to the ground were on here talking bout multiple breaks and missing the rest of the season, when in fact Ronan was already back at county training.

OK - but my point is that even if it was deliberate (and you seem 100% on this) it cannot be proven by slow motion replays of the incident. To my mind this shows that the CB are willing to give the benefit of the doubt if the replays cannot prove anything.

Forgetting about the game in question, is this not a good precedent to set for the future, as opposed to a terrible one?

Yeah, I've no problem with the county board looking at it and coming to that conclusion. To look at it with fresh eyes and not know the circumstances of the game, it might be difficult to say there was intent.
I just dont think there should have been an appeal in the first place.
