Feed of drink last night, up at 6am to watch that p***k ruin any chance of a game of football breaking out. Don't like giving out about refs but that first half was very frustrating to watch. Some seriously questionable decisions. In saying that Derry have also completely gone to sleep. Can't see any chance of a Derry victory here.

Regardless of your opinion of Sinn Fein, and I am not a supporter, this article is petty and journalism at its absolute lowest. I actually don't think I have read a worse article than this.

How many of you were actually at the game yesterday?

I kept an eye on Keegan afterwards, I saw him run for two defensive tackles, one in particular he was moving forward to join the attack which broke down, turned assessed which player he should track back after and then tore down the field to tackle the man with the ball, it was right under the main stand.

To say he was clearly in distress is pure nonsense. Yes leaving the pitch he was clearly in distress but prior to that there were no signs. Maybe he should have been taken off at the time, I thought the game was over, why wouldn't they. But to use it to have a cheap shot at a medical team who have a day job is bollix.

Spot on Mayo4Sam. This thread is a textbook case of hurling from the ditch and second-guessing.

The Mayo medical team put their hands up to a mistake that they might not have even made (as per references to the second collision which may have been the one that did for him). Nothing else they could do.

Maybe the GPA could do some research on setting up a concussion protocol. It won't buy them as many friends in the media as bringing everyone over the Boston on the tear in the bleak midwinter, but maybe it'd be a bit closer to their purported remit.

Also, Cadogan and Keegan exchanged tweets saying no hard feelings last night and this morning. That should go on a record somewhere too.

Concussion protocol is after a smack like that you leave the field.

to say anything else is bullshit

Had Keegan received another blow to the head in those ten minutes we could be having a different conversation

Rory O Carroll was he same in 2013- all ireland or no all ireland he should have been taken off. Had he been he wouldn't be taking a year out now.

Anyone trying to compare that to a hamstring is deranged. We've all finished out matches injured

I've never finished out a match  :'(

Stew, I am forming my opinion from the documentary, which has obvious bias towards Avery, which I can acknowledge, likewise you are forming yours from what you know of him. Simply dealing with the cold hard facts of the case you can't categorically state 'he is guilty'.

Just finished it myself last night and although the documentary did seem to have an obvious bias, its very hard to argue with one major fact: There was no blood.

The Averys and Dasseys don't seem to be the most intelligent people, so to believe there was such a gruesome massacre of a body both within the house and the garage, without one single drop of blood, or indeed any DNA (including not on her key), being committed, is ridiculous.

Carpeted rooms, hundreds of items in the garage, yet nothing.  It really doesn't add up.

To also be able to go on tv and describe in detail what 'happened' is scandalous, it was like something out of a horror film, which of course was their aim.

There's a lot that stinks about this case.

Won more than 1 All Ireland without the aid of the backdoor

At least there is one were Derry are on the same par, well done!

6 NFL titles to 2?

Lol, I suppose there is no London in Tyrone either so I will give yous that one to

I know the inbreds only use it to wind us up, and it works, but it always amuses me that the same boyos shouting 'Theres no London in Tyrone' are the same boyos sure to be shouting 'Up the RA'  ::)

QuoteMcCarron is just lucky that he doesn't have to come up against the modern day tyrone team under st micky because that is one team who would merciless in sledging

Or maybe Lenny is sore from St Mickey and the boys handing Derry's ass to them on plate for more than a decade??? 🙈🙉🙊

That's probably it. Thank god we were all around for the invention of football in 2003  ::)

General discussion / Living the Dream
January 14, 2016, 09:27:00 PM
Is there anybody on the board living the dream? For example, did you always want to be a teacher, got qualified, teach and love what you're doing?

I never knew what I wanted to be. I'm working in construction and I have to say I love my job, but I don't know if its what I want to do forever. Basically I'm 30 now and still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

Does anybody have it sussed or are we all just going through the motions?

Personally I'd prefer Emmett to either say exactly what happened or say nothing at all. I don't think anybody benefits from speculation.

However it does seem comical the Tyrone supporters giving out about teams/players complaining. If ever there was a pot kettle situation. Complaining is only ok if you're from Tyrone because, as everybody knows, the entire island of Ireland is in a massive conspiracy to stop them from succeeding  ::)

StGallsGAA thanks for the laugh though, preaching about 'GAA family'  ;D hilarious

In fairness the gym I'm in is in a nice area, not unusual to see some of the Home & Away 'stars' in there  ;D but its the area where you'll get the guys that like looking at themselves and like others looking at them even more. But obviously you have the sounds ones that you could ask for a bit of advice on a certain new exercise they're doing or will spot you, let you jump in on sets etc.

Not a big lad myself so when I started at the gym I was always self conscious, but you soon come to realise that 99.9% of people there don't give a shit, its amazing the amount of people I know that wouldn't bother for that reason.

Excuse my ignorance lads but how has it came about that we now know nothing happened? Did the Donegal minor in question just completely fabricate it or what? Sledging is one thing but saying something like that always seemed to be beyond believable. Glad it has came out as not true. Baffling though as to how any story even emerged from nothing!

I love the gym when I get into my routine, unfortunately my social life often gets in the way. Ive really started to like pull-ups myself, and as stated, I had been doing 5 sets, getting quite a few in each set, but stopped for a while and it was extremely disheartening how little I could do when I returned. Just have to build them back up.

On a side note, there are some bellends in the gym. One woman in particular yesterday, attractive, great body, but I seen her walking about the entire time and not actually doing anything, with her ipod stored in her chest area. Shes in the same category as the nobs who make the most noise possible whilst doing the most overly complicated exercises to gain that extra bit of attention.  Throwing the extremely heavy weights down as hard as they can also ensures this extra attention.

Extremely hard to read. Cant even imagine what they are going through. On this topic, is jumping in the car after drinking something many of here would do / have done?

On a slightly related note a lot protestants seem to pronounce Maghera and Magherafelt as Mackera and Mackerafelt.
