There were a number of poor Tyrone performances on Saturday last, but I think it unfair to single anyone, or any number, out on a public forum for lambasting. Some of the criticism has been way over the top. We'd do well to remember that all players are doing their level best, out of their own time, and if they're just not up to it we have an esteemed manager and his assistants in place to make those exact calls.

A little more moderation would not go amiss, you'd swear we were all Peter Canavans sometimes :P

heard some interesting news this morning regarding two withdrawals from the Tyrone squad for this year:One very prominent senior player and one of the up and coming young stars. I dont want to give the names just yet but my source was pretty good.
The up and coming "star" to have pulled the pin is Mattie Donnelly.

Philly Jordan may be out for the year due to injury, but weve all discussed this before, I reported a while ago that there was word of Ricey going, could this be true?
Load of bull that he`s out for the year i`ve heard he`ll be back playing within 2 weeks.

Also remember him playing a ulster final against Monaghan 2007 and had a great match, he came of the bench against Mayo the same year and played well.

His best position imo is half back and this is the main problem because seemly no matter how bad Philly or Davey play they will not be dropped
More a less what your saying is that micky only picks a team on loyalty if dermy was in better form in training he`d be picked  ahead of either two if their form was poor, the reason dermy looks good is because is on the attack  so much, i`d doubt his defensive capabilities.Imo sean oneill would be streets ahead of him,i`ve noticed since th cork game davey and philly have come in for severe criticism within tyrone u`d nearly think their was nobody else from tyrone playing that day.Maybe in the case of Philly he was playing with an injury that was that severe it could keep him out of action for 6mths.

Now that the dust has settled on a great championship final does who do the great and the good of the gaaboard thing will be in MH's plans for next year?

Having seen a lot of club football in Tyrone this year I wouldnt be rushing any of the most recent minor team into the senior panel just yet. Coney hasnt played much football this year and has a bit more to do before he is ready imo. He looked a little light in the first half on Sunday and was well marshalled, although he showed some great skill in the second half with a great range of passing. Where would his best position be, on the half forward line? O'Neil looks like the perfect wing half back for the Tyrone system, a good footballer with plenty of pace. I think he could force Harte out.
Do you not mean force Jordan out? Of last year's minors Mc Nabb a certainty to come into panel. Class player
Think ur writing Jordan of  a bit early.Sean as good as he is going forward we dont know that much  of him defensively,i remember people blowing Decky mccrossan up how good he was he was found out as well.Harte will start whoever he thinks best and not solely on reputation.

That peter ward is some laugh, must be from planet mars theirs a talking point with him every time i see him play!ref struck at least twice could have been alot worse only for the stewards.epic game bad way to loose, but definite pen goalie didnt have to touch the player concerned ball was going wide.Have to say if i was from ardboe thought i wouldnt have been happy with some of the scoreable frees sean quinn give to dromore in the second half, also he stopped play for ricey in the second half a couple of times when he was down when their was nothing wrong with him,and when tommy mcguigan was clearly injured he waved play on.Puzzling decision by ardboe management to take bella of with a few minutes to go.

I think b4 the lough match was played 2day we knew they wud get at least a point 2 stay out of the bottom place. With paddy mcguigans family ties in ardboe they were always going 2 get a result.

Thats omagh guaranteed top 4,they"ll  take some beating against ardboe in championship very strong phsyical team seen them down in the moy about a month ago as much as the moy were very poor was very impressed with omagh. As for the moy glad to get finally save, now the 4 county players to go under the knife with philly being the most serious he`s going for a hip op which will keep him out for 6mths an injury which he`s being plagued with for the last 3 yrs.good for the county players 2 get a good break last year we were finished in the middle of december.
