Good. Hope someone can stop Kilmacud. Looking forward to seeing how Kilcoo go.
Fair play to Corofin.
This current team isn't at the level of the 3 in a row crew though I think. Not sure they would be able for Kilmacud.
I honestly think the Ballina game will be 50-50.
Liam Silke showed today what a loss he was to us last year at county level.
Class player

As a matter of interest - is every county different in terms of whether or not there is a link between league and championship?
In Galway we used to have senior league, intermediate league, junior league etc. You played at that same grade for Championship.2 up and 2 down each year.
To get senior you either had to win the intermediate league or win the intermediate championship.
Restructure maybe 10-11 years ago removed the link between c'ship and league.
Your league division has nothing to do with what championship grade you play in at all.
My own club play junior championship but in our league (division 3) all
of the other teams play either intermediate or senior championship.
These provincial club championships are amazing competitions.
Played in a Connacht final a good few years back and was a brilliant experience.

Quote from: burdizzo on October 17, 2023, 06:35:50 PMNo, Sexton wasn't good. What was the wattsapp lads say re. the blasphemy question? Gerry Thornley gushing all over Sexton, as ever, in The Irish Times. Almost embarrassing. He also had a pop at the ref. - again, as usual - but I didn't think Barnes was bad.

I think both of France and SA would have beaten Ireland the way they played the following night.
Thornley sickens my hole the way that he is a complete and utter cheerleader for the Irish rugby team.
Listening to The Left Wing podcast every day during the World Cup Ruadhri O Connor was the same - constantly talking the team
Up. Giving endless reasons why they'd beat the All Blacks. I read an article somewhere - where it was stated that there was a perception that people outside of Ireland were glad that the ABs won that game because of the quote "nauseating arrogance" of the Irish media.
And I say all this as someone who is a big fan of the team and was gutted they lost.
But some of the media coverage was cringey to say the least.

Lads what's the deal with Kilcoo and Faloon?
What was the reason for the objection re him reffing it - some past incident?
As an outsider it beggars belief that a club can object to an appointed referee and get it changed.
Sure that opens a huge can of worms.
You could have this craic going on every week. I'd say most clubs have certain refs that they feel havent done them any favours in the past.

It was 2014 when I was in San Sebastian & had no kids back then but it's really lovely. I would definitely go back with the family now.
We went in August for 5 nights. Had 3 lovely days weather wise
 - one overcast and one a mixture of the two. The day we left it was lashing rain.
We are normally hotel pool people rather than beach but booked extremely last minute so accommodation choice was limited.
Went to La Concha beach instead every day which was really nice.
Food fab and plenty of shops for the wife to mooch about.
I'd really recommend it

Hard to believe how shite Argentina have been with an extra man for pretty much the whole game.
They haven't even looked like scoring.

Does it much matter who the manager is though?
We have an extremely weak squad at the moment that's the reality.
Bad and all as our results have been - they are probably in line with the squad we have.

It seems she didn't have the players on her side.
The writing is usually on the wall in such situations.

Ryan, Herring & O Mahoney have made a huge difference

The problem with these paid podcasts is that a fiver here and there soon ads up and then that's not even invoicing the likes of your Netflix, prime etc. I only pay for the Smaller Fish one and it's the best by far to be honest.
100%. When I started listening to sports podcasts they were all free pretty much - covered by sponsorship. One by one they are slowly all moving behind the pay wall.
As you say - the thing that put me off paying for any of them is that the fiver here and the fiver there (plus Vat in a lot of cases) every month can very quickly add up to a decent outlay every month in top of sky, Netflix etc etc.
So I decided not to subscribe to any of them.
I did like Parkinson's one though and the Examiner football one was decent.
I wouldn't listen to enough content to justify paying for it though

Stayed in San Sebastián for 5 nights back in 2014.
The main beach La Concha is really nice.
Lots of great places for food in the old town.
The newer part then has your high street shops etc.
Very nice place I'd definitely return.
I can't remember the names of the places we ate in now at this stage but there's good places all over.

Kilkenny won't beat them  either. Kilkenny are at the same level as Galway.
Limerick have superb workrate. They will win a few more and then time will call them.
They have super players but it's always the same ones. Just like Barcelona.
Kilkenny won't beat Clare either I reckon

Galway look flat and Limerick are just playing it around.

That has to be the end of Shefflin?
Is the manager the problem though?
Doubtful.
Galway just aren't as good as the likes of Limerick at the moment.
