Anyone know what time the draw for 2nd round is on tomorrow or are they holding off till St Joseph's Ballylinan match is played?

Overall games relatively poor for first round. Ballyfin toothless upfront without Sean Moore. Never looked like winning even when they levelled it at start of 2nd half.

Niall Dunne immense for Courtwood and Robert Tyrell. Dunne definitely should be in with Laois next year. Park Ratheniska lacking bit of size up front but showed enough to say they should be good enough to stay senior. Whether the draw will be kind to them remains to be seen.

Laffan off the market

Laughable that the Borris lads wouldn't want him as an option.

Tommy Dunne seems to be the main man.

Hilarious that anyone would think Cody would even consider us.

Tommy would be a great addition to get. Time will tell of course. Can't be stressed enough how crucial next appointment is to Laois Hurling.

Best of luck to Laffan. A great opportunity in his native county and has done well with Clough Ballacolla.
Brian Cody gone from Kilkenny. Mickey Harte went to Louth when finished with Tyrone so why not try a punt on Cody. It is crazy to suggest but don't ask don't get.
I don't think Harte left of his own volition. Cody will have done. I doubt he'd consider managing any other county.

After the handshake fiascos with Henry I think he lost a few friends too. I believe a change of chairman in Kilkenny is on the way soon loyal support and probably right time to go. One thing for sure the best to ever manage in the game and his record will stand the test of time.

I agree whether he'd consider managing another county never mind Laois. Again, don't ask, don't get.

Have a feeling Killeshin will be competitive but O'Ds should won by 3.

Portlaoise and Emo both mixing a few. Surely Portlaoise have better depth. Fancy then by 5.
Joe's will have way to much. 8 minimum.

Port by as much as they want. I'll say 12.
Clonaslee will be closer than some think. Graigue by 1.
Ballyroaan should win but I've a feeling Rosenallis might catch them. Rosenalus by 2.

Ballyfin by 3.
Courtwood by 4.

Very disappointing game last night thought killeshin had something about them after winning 1b league. Absolutely woeful. Could struggle for relegation play off on the basis of that performance.  O'Dempseys were decent nonetheless good fast attacking football.
No one in their right mind could have predicted a 20 point win, if they did any chance of some lotto numbers for the euro millions tonight  8)

Why can't the county board have a weekend pass like other countys. Tipperary 20 euro for a weekend pass to cover all games great value for people who go to alot of games.

They have digital pass in Tipp to for about €80 for year last time I checked (could have increased since Covid). Was ideal when living abroad in particular or older persons not able to get into games.

O'Dempseys vs Killieshin. Draw

Emo Vs Portlaoise Portlaoise by 3-4 points.

Joseph's vs Ballylinan could be one of more entertaining matches of the weekend if Gary Walsh is on form. Still see Joseph's by 5-6 points.

Portarlington vs Arles Kileen Portarlington by 8-9 points.
Clonaslee St Manmans vs Graiguecullen Graigue by 7-8 points.
Rosenallis vs Ballyroan Abbey: Ballyroan Abbey by 2 points

Stradbally vs Ballyfin Stradbally by -3
Courtwood vs Park Ratheniska: Head says Courtwood just though wouldn't surprise me if Park get the win.

Either Graiguecullen or Portarlington with a full compliment to win it out.

Strong rumours according to Will O'Callaghan on Off the Ball that Tommy Dunne is linked to the job.

Would be great to have on board with Laois. He's also a possibly returning to Dublin fold with Joe Fortune of Ballyboden, current Westmeath manager. A more appealing role though of course.

Is there even a committee of some description set up to find a Laois manager?

Thank you Helix

No problem. The county board €150 pass across championship across all games not a bad shout if you're into both codes. Wonder have many embraced the online ticket passes as no longer able to buy from the gate in OMP

Favourites for the drop who are we thinking, Castletown looked awful vs a strong Ballacolla

Ballinakill had their chances to win it so wouldn't have them as relegation favourites. A few dubious refereeing decisions at times. Borris Kilcotton were very poor. Castletown Rosenallis or Ballinakill if they get a few injuries. Castletown will surely get better over course of championship.

As bad an All Blacks first half performance in a long time. So many handling errors. Hopefully Ireland hold on in 2nd half. Taking their chances so far  :)

Liam Cahill gone from Waterford. Can only imagine taking up the Tipperary job. Derek McGrath or Davy Fitz for the Waterford job possibly.

Wouldn't have rated him hugely.
Got given out to here before for describing him as a bit of a journeyman....
But
If we were ever to give him the job now would be a great time!
Experienced working at our level and a serious point to prove!

Very few GAA managers get sacked, he joins a very short list!

From seeing some threads  in Tipp today the training standard in higher level clubs in Tipp were a better standard to inter county training. Easy to be the scapegoat in a transition as well and Bonnar gets the bullet.

Anyways hopefully  Laois will have someone organised within next month but have my reservations.

Need to bounce back up straight in 2023

These nominations are just going through the motion scenarios . Unlikely many of them would be serious contenders .
Gleeson up in Antrim hasn't confirmed whether he's staying on or not . Mightn't be the worst shout . Another guy I'd like is James O'Conner the ex Ballyhale manager who is with Midelton this year .

Colm Bonnar getting the bullet with Tipperary last night. Wondering will that be a name that will come up with Laois if no standout names emerge?
