Disappointing result but it was expected Dublin would have a backlash after last year’s loss. Their first touch and passing a lot better than Laois. Their work rate and intensity far superior to ours.
Cleaned out of it from open play in forward line the 2 sweepers killing us up front. Took our long range points well but never hinted at winning the game. Count our blessings it wasn’t kilkenny we were hurling tonight! Hopefully they’ll learn from this and build again in 2021.

Can’t understand how Van de Beek isn’t  worthy of a start. Moves the ball far quicker in midfield. Did really well when introduced particularly the 2nd goal getting pass off to Mata.. Great to see Mata getting MOTM.
Also good to see Maguire getting goal and almost having a 2nd from distance.
St James Park has been a bogey ground for years even if they were piss poor overall tonight. Hopefully will kick on and put a few results together. Looking forward to Tuesday night football again  ;D

Were they hurling Waterford last night?
Seeming they were comprehensively bet according to Waterford forum. No sign of a score though.

How the f**k do you miss that
The one time we go forward instead of sideways almost have a goal. Last penalty shootout in knockout football in Suwon 2002 vs Spain.

Sergio Romero is free if you’re looking for a decent back up goalie for Allison   ::)

Ole will be made DoF rather than sacked (when it happens), an easy way to safe face for everyone.

A Director of Failure more like. An absolute shambles.

Various reports on Twitter saying Cavani to complete transfer as free agent tomorrow. Probably rules out Sancho coming until 2021. €10m in wages a year.
Dalot to AC Milan on loan and Anders Pereira to Lazio on loan. I’d imagine Romero will be sold before end of transfer window.

Arles Kilcruise relegated tonight 0:11 0:09. End of an era for them at senior for a while. You’d wonder what it will take to have them senior again: be it on their own or joining like juveniles na fianna og.

If Ole can't get Sancho this summer then I hope he brings in someone in on loan rather then buying for the sake of it. We've seen Bayern win a CL with 2 loan signings this year, they wanted Sane last summer but couldn't get him but managed to get him this summer instead.

Absolutely should be looking at loan deals in the context of COVID 19.

Sky Sports reporting Dembele from Barcelona possibly on loan.
Would be looking at Dayot Upamecano from RB Leizpig for CB more of a priority buy. I’d imagine Utd will have signed Alex Telles from Porto before the end of transfer window.

Would it be worth taking a chance on Cavani as a free agent I wonder? Had a decent record with PSG and surely could be good to have up front.
Hopefully Utd will be our to prove a point shambles performance from Saturday or prove that they need a centre back  ??? 8)

Laois SFC Quarter-finals

Ballyfin v The Heath
Emo v Portlaoise
Graiguecullen v Ballylinan
Portarlington v O’Dempseys

Few decent games won’t be much in them. Best possible draw for Ballyfin and The Heath drawing each other.
O’Dempseys will have it hard without Robbie Kehoe the next day. Each games should be decent.

Don’t know what the value of each team but imagine CP worth a lot less, but their players are much more technically better. Zaha just class.
Is there a buyback clause for him I doubt it. Same shite again dreadful in defence. Queue the smartarses on the forum!

Zaha seems to want to leave Palace for a year or two, but nobody seems to want to take a chance on him. He’ll be putting himself in the window with his performances until the transfer deadline. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back at United before it closes.

There was a reason Zaha was sold the first time. Just like there was a reason Pogba was sold the first time!

Players develop and improve though.

Has there ever been a case of a player sold and was brought back and was a success?
Mark Hughes?
Gerard Pique

Courtwood finding senior championship tough to crack. Granted it is hard to win with 13 players against Rosenallis who look physically decent side. Whether they will sustain it as a dual senior club remains to be seen.
You’d imagine Arles Kilcruise will finally drop down from senior ranks. Can’t see them beating Stradbally today in OMP.
