Gettign very antsy, caddy. If you want to defend Kaep's childish play-acting, be my guest. It'd be fun to watch.

Come on man, its part of the game. There is all sorts of taunting going on during the game on pitch far worse than this. He did it midway through the 3rd Quarter not at the end of the game, so there is no disrespect there, and he didn't mock it. Carolina fans are use to seeing the Superman thing so all he did was do the Superman thing, then say no, button the shirt up and he did the Cam kiss the bicep thing. All he's saying is not today, today you fans will see something else and not the Superman thing.
Newton reacted childish by walking out of the press conference when asked about it, he had over 1 ½ quarters to give an answer and wasn't able to on the field. If it upset Carolina that much then react to it on the field by driving on and showing the Niners up for their QB's antics, not walking out of a press conference after getting it handed to you in your own house.
As I said, if he did this after the game then it's bad form, he did it during the game and Carolina had two ways to react to the during Game taunt – fight back or lie down!

Go Niners!

No, because he " mocked" Syferus's idol Cams TD celebration. Where did Cam go to college Sy?
rhetorical question. He went to Auburn, which is Sy's fav college team/ alma mater.

Florida

Hope the Niners beat the Seagulls but the Seattle secondary are best in the business and while Kap is good he's be Brees when it comes to the air. The distaste right now between Seattle and Niners is something I haven't seen for a long time, advertising boards and TV adds in each city. Hope Niners can make it two in a row and open the new Stadium as Super Bowl champs.

NE to win the other game. Denver are missing something and their Def just won't hold the Pats O

I was saying it tongue in cheek man, I know where the lad spent 1 year in college but he did spend 2 at Florida.

It will be the cold that could do in the Niners. The game will be played in about -20C and apparently Green Bay have still about 5K tickets available, this for a that has sold out all home games since 1960 and has ~90K people on a waiting list for season tickets! The local companies in the area have bought up enough tickets to ensure its not blacked out due to stupid TV rules. So it will be fair cold if the fans are staying away!
Chargers to beat Cincy
Indi to beat the KC
Philly to win also at home.

Utd didn't play too bad, but it was an impressive performance from Spurs., who were without 5 key players, so it shows the strenght of their squad. 4 home defeats is a lot this season., one too many older players in the squad.
Apart from maybe Vertonghen Spurs have a squad of similar players they sold one of their few key players last summer. United have used 26 players this season 20 of them are under 30 & Giggs 5 league starts,Rio 7 starts are nothing more than bit part players nowadays.
-----------

If Lloris does this in his next game he won't be so lucky to get away with it.

how is that a penalty? young has already played the ball and then dives over lorris. webb was correct on that one but wrong on the Januzaj tackle.

Tackle was late, tackle was high, if an outfield player did this in the middle of the park people would be calling for a red card. Boot was high and rather than take the full brunt of studs I think he launched himself over the keeper. Look how high the boot is!

United played well but couldn't finish. Game is lost so now next game up to focus on. Still involved in  four competitions so games piling up.

Well done Rossie on winning the Div 2 title. Hard to shout for the 49er last night but shout for Atlanta everytime Gore got the ball or Bowman was near it. Was still leading with 5 mins left then Gore got a TD and Bowman intercepted, ran 90 odd yards for a TD. Niners are in the playoffs so not all bad.

Well done AZ again, well run event and already looking forward to Div 1 next year!

Last game at The 'Stick tonight as it's unlikely the niners will get a home game for the playoffs. Passed the new Stadium this morning and it's pretty impressive. 2016 Super Bowl lined up there. Funny that the Stadium is 50 miles from the City and basically in San Jose - Money talks I guess.

Signed up again to do Escape from Alcatraz. Its not that long but the Swim is a difficult, last year waves were very choppy ~2 mtrs high, as well a a strong current - one guy died in the swim! Cycle is short around The City and then a tough run but with great views.
Outside that will try get a half IM in.

I reckon a Niners Panthers NFC title game and Pats Ravens AFC game with Niners Pats SB.
Ravens will win their Division then beat KC and Denver, Colts beat Dolphins and then get dropped by NE.
One the other side the SB will be decided in the Niners Seaguls game and just because Pete Carroll is such a cheat and it's Seattle I hope the niners kick ass (I fear the opposite however)

Final standings in the Walter Payton. A tad lopsided.

John Madden Division

8     L'Esprit de Biff    5-9-0    5-3-0    1743.93    1812.64    W-1    3    30
9     Faithful Turfmen    4-10-0    4-4-0    1725.12    1834.11    L-3    2    22
10     The Curragh Rams    3-11-0    3-5-0    1681.09    1942.52    L-1    1    11

George Allen Division

*1     Ruthless Rossies    10-4-0    4-4-0    1990.62    1690.89    W-1    10    41
*3     Savage Bears    9-5-0    3-5-0    1880.43    1790.71    W-3    8    47
*4     Royal Badgers    9-5-0    5-3-0    1851.50    1772.61    L-3    7    23
5     Caught Red Hernandez    9-5-0    4-4-0    1811.88    1727.45    L-1    6    42
6     Galway Bay Tribesmen    8-6-0    4-4-0    1860.88    1825.38    W-3    5    50

Gutted. Lost out in the last day with a big loss to the Rossies. Hard to swallow when there's such a big disparity in the divisions, but rules is rules!

You were in hard luck Mcgrens as were the Tribesmen who had the 3rd highest score in the Conference but ended up finishing 6th.
I was hoping to stay as the 3rd seed and play the hitmen as I think the Badgers have a stronger team and were ranked number 1 for most of the season.
I make the Bears favorites as they are on a 3 game winning run and are racking up big scores.

Big scores were driven by Gronk eating up the numbers, then last weekend got his ACL done by another player on my team TJ Ward. Add to that the Honey Badger doing in his ACL the same weekend so I'm down two leading players in their positions and will struggle to get points this weekend.
Still glad to make the final four as its the first time all season that I got into the top four, happy to get one more week. Does this mean that we get to more up to the big table next season?

How are ties in a division decided? Div record, pts for, or head to head record?

Fair play to Auburn, didn't think they could get close.
Will be interesting what happens next weekend. FSU should win easy against Duke, but if OSU gets a win then let BCS maddess start. The playoffs will be great when they come in but then there will be questions about the 4-5 teams. Take today, would Bama be good for a 4th or 5th place?

College football is way better than the pros, true heart.

If they pull off one more piece of magic in the Iron Bowl Auburn will look back at that play as seminal moment in the program's storied history.

Or, you know, the championship they already won three years ago.

?

For one, that was only their second ever national title. That would have absolutely no bearing on whether or not this year could be special for the Tigers, particularly given their decline in the last two years.

Auburn lost pretty much all the key players of the 2011 BSC national title to the draft that April so there's been very little carryover apart form a few seniors and redshirt seniors.

Given it's college football, that turnover is normal. You said if they win the Iron Bowl, a fluke play that was really a defensive c**k-up would become the "seminal moment" in the entire program's history. I dispute that.

A seminal moment, not the seminal moment.

Auburn lost pretty much all the key players of the 2011 BSC national title to the draft that April so there's been very little carry-over apart form a few seniors and redshirt seniors.

While they may not have many of the players from 2011 the carry-over is still there in the recruited players that they picked up that year and 2012 these recruits go to winning programs with a view to winning a title. Most teams have a pretty big turnover, look at Alabama and the number of 1st round draft picks last year 3, and 4 1st rounders in 2012. That's part of college football.

I don't like Alabama for a host of reasons but honestly can't see Auburn get within 15 pts of them in a few weeks. Auburn have come out the right end of too many one score games and another year could have 4 losses.

Also, what is it about Auburn and picking up QB's from other colleges?

It's a common situation in college ball, players don't get picked up by major programs or don't get the chance to play while there and then switch to junior colleges and make enough noise for major programs to pick them up. It's the closest thing to college free agency. It's much easier to get a dispensation to transfer to a big program after one season if you're playing at a lower level, you'd usually have to wait two years or even sit a year if you were switching between top-tier programs.

Aaron Rodgers attended and played for a community college his freshman year before transferring to Cal.

Can Newton from Florida in 2011 and Nick Marshall from Georgia this year, hardly 2nd rate football colleges.

Monday night was a joke, when Gronk turned to face the ball he was beside the player that intercepted it, then they say it was under thrown and not Catchable. Nuts! If that was last year the replacement Ref's would have got run out of town, remember Seattle!
