I remember I didn't vote in 2012.

Went down to the local catholic school which was the local polling station, queued up for an hour with my then one year old child in my arms, and looking like I'd still have to wait a couple more hours, just said "f**k it" in the end. Only so much you can do with a young kid.

Luckily Obama wasn't depending on my vote in NY!

That's madness, should be in and out in 15mins max.

Voted in person yesterday and it was very straight forward, took about 3 mins to get to the poling booth, about 10 mins to go through all the items being voted for and was out the door. Lots of stations for folks to vote and lots of people directing things. I'm in CA which pretty much means my vote is useless in the presidential race.

While I also agree that influenza should generally be taken more seriously, the Corona virus is currently running at 1 death every 50 confirmed cases (or approx 2%)

I was wondering if the confirmed deaths tally was right (and not being underestimated) given the early reaction, but then your link says this:

A study found that out of 41 admitted hospital patients who had been identified as having laboratory-confirmed 2019-nCoV infection in China, 13 (32%) patients were admitted to an ICU and six (15%) died.[5]

Any wonder they were scared shitless if that was the earlier mortality rates.

So reasonably confident they are reporting true numbers (not that 2% is good or anything, but its better than 15%!).

Not everyone went to hospital though, some people only had moderate symptoms like 'flu. Only those badly affected ended up in hospital and more of these died.

But that would be the same with flu. The mortality rate for influenza is 0.055% of reported cases. Similarly, lots of people wouldn't report if they had the flu

I don’t understand where 2% is coming from. To date ~43k people confirmed to have got it, 4.3K cured and ~1K dead. That’s close to a 20% kill rate! It has to be based on cured/dead and not based on number of people that got it. There’s still about 38K with it and they could go either way before this is done.

Been saying all year here that Jimmy G is not good enough, been behind a good O line and a number of weapons not to mention the D they have. When he’s under pressure just not good enough, number of missed plays and open players.

Only city have spend more than United in the transfer market over the past 5 years, that does not tell me the Glazers don't care about success. Arguably the United three best players this year have been home grown. You can say that the Glazers are clueless, down know what they are doing on the football side and a big portion of that is Woodward, but with over 500M spent on players not caring about success is probably not the cause of the problems.
The scouting process or whoever makes the decisions on who to buy is a bigger portion of the problem. They have spent a lot of money on players not up to the standard needed or at least not performing.
On the manager and players - When you look at Liverpool, Leicester city etc. and you see how hard their players work for 90+ mins so you have to questions wether OGS is good enough with getting the players to play effectively together. They have played the same system (4-2-3-1) for a long time and it really is hit of miss so why not change things around. I don't think OGS is tactically strong enough for the job, he's not a great motivator and really seems to lack emotion when they lose. He has been unlucky with key players injured but he's not the answer.
The only thing I fear is that he will get fired, nothing else changes in the club in terms or recruitment/scouting process and we are back here in 18 months again. Woodward needs to go, OGS needs to go also.

cowboy looked like he was beat for the last week. Conor absolutely destroyed him. 19/26 landed vs 0/1, 40sec and Cowboy looks like he was put through 3 rounds. Very impressive although also a huge miss match. Conor very focused and looked like someone gave him a kick in the ass for all his antics. But straight after the win on about the piss water again...
We’ll see a long line of lads wanting a payday now.

I’ve said it a few times before but don’t expect any changes. If grown adults that have been elected into office did not do anything after Sandy Hook where 26 people were kill, 20 of them children either 6 or 7 years old, then nothing will be done by there people.
I’ve contemplated leaving this country multiple times as the shootings become more frequent and all the closer. The Gilroy shooting last week was 30mins from me and a festival I’ve brought my wife and kids to in the past.
