terrible goings on between brackaville and drumquin, young boy in bad shape

Read something about this in the Irish News. Anybody know exactly what happened or who was involved. What sort of injuries we talking here?
From what I've heard on the ground here about the incident, the Drumquin teenager and the player from Brackaville were getting involved in some niggly stuff off the ball a few minutes beforehand, and whatever happened led to the Brackaville player grabbing his opponent around his groin area and pulled away. Drumquin lad fell straight down on the pitch in agony and there was significant blood flow nearly straight away. When they managed to get him to the sideline to be treated, the player saw what had happened to him - not to get into too much gory detail but a part of his genitalia was torn (which required the stitches in question in the reports) and through that and the pain, he fainted. He ended up going to the Erne Hospital for treatment. Whatever the Drumquin player did beforehand, the actions of the Brackaville player is something I would only expect from a sc**bag.

its a awful handlin alright but the thing i find strange is that noone in the brackaville club knew anything of this i was talking to a few prominent men in their club since this news broke at the weekend and they told me that they knew nothing about it and that they spent time around drumquinn club after the game and nothing was mentioned about it. obviously if something like that happened you would think there would be something more made of it than waiting 2 weeks and going to the irish news and the psni instead of contacting the other club involved.

There goes my Brocagh v Derrytresk final hopes. If Killeeshil win the championship Brocagh can still go up as second placed in league

gutted here too. I guess derrytresk have the whole parish support now in junior championship. Brocagh just couldnt beat a whole parish's second string. Ah well, our wee parish still has two runners in senior and one in junior. not bad going i suppose (hear that shit stirring)

where is that like button

Ill admit its controversial proposal but the enlightened among you may just think it through and see the merits as in the errigal ciaran man there.  Anyway rant over..... This bus aint gonna drive itself.

Hi Roddy.  My feeling is that each club would line out just 1 or optionally 2 teams, 1 playing as the thirds are at the moment, capable of handling the Brockaghs, Fintonas and Dungannons of this world - the other being their main men.  That panel isnt entirely closed but a 3rds player can only play so many games for the seniors in a season if he improves to that level. In this way the junior championship beomes more competitive, the perennial laggers like Tattyreagh etc realise the need to pull up their socks as they're getting bate week in week out.  The players are all playing for a decent championship trophy.   Finally Roddy  I have seen fat 40 year olds playing for your seniors never mind your reserves.

what a crock of dung you speak snippets never heard the like of it i take it your on the wind up

Omaghs playing Coalisland, do you think for one minute either team is thinking reseve championship.  Carrickmore are playing Clonoe - about the only two teams who ever bother to win the damn thing - does anyone think they will be holding back players to play reserve football.  The clue is in the name "reserves" - its a lower level of football for guys with no ambition to play senior football.   I know Id rather be selected on the bench for the senior championship than worrying about how a 40 year old fat hatchet man from Carmens going to mark me.  Catch yourselves on lads.

Are you talking about a junior team there a 40 year old fat hatchet man from carmen would not be the case as the top senior clubs in tyrone namely errigal ardboe carrickmore clonoe omagh and coalisland most years when they have the numbers see their reserve team as a spring board to their seniors they are normally younger lads just outta minors and more experienced men who just are not making seniors anymore. the reserve teams i have mentioned would beat most intermediate and junior senior teams in tyrone. and for the post earlier about who remembers who won the reserve championship last year it was clonoe they also won it in 07 and 08 when they won the senior championship errigal and carrickmore have also won it in recent years and coalisland and ardboe have all got to finals within the last 5 years i dont think any of these teams would be taking the reserve championship lightly.

I see the reserve championship is down to be played on sunday at 12 noon this surely is not the case as there are several clubs in all 3 divisions playing in sunday evening plus two hurling clubs who have lads playing football. This obviously is an oversight on behalf of the county board fixtures committee but is there any word on it being changed or is it a case that if clubs agree the match be played a different time the county board will agree it.

Radda on a serious not what are ye going to do this weekend to stop the one and only Jonny Lafferty by all the talk he could beat ye on his own he is that good a player.

He is a good player - very impressed with him in the league! We'll probably just do what we always do - Kick the clane f*ck out of him until he gives up and then try and tag on enough in the last 20 to win!    ;D ;D

Nothing much changes then  ;D :P

derrylaughan are safe they beat eglish today
Not quite. Whoever wins the SFC is immune to being relegated, therefore for as long as Moortown are in the championship, the Division 1 relegation play-off cannot take place. Should Moortown win the Tyrone SFC (definitely a very outside chance, but stranger things have happened before), Derrylaughan will then play Moy with Derrylaughan at home; although they're level on points with Greencastle, Greencastle won the league tie between the two of them, therefore finish above them. Therefore not only will a Derrylaughan win against Moortown in the championship get them through into the semis, it will make them 100% safe for Division 1 & the Senior Championship for next year.

ill lay you 1000/1 on that actually happening cos moortown are rank actually a worse division 1 team than kildress or aghyaran and thats saying something

Your obviously a WUM but i'll take you up on what you said whinge half back.
Moortown have a good young team and as for trying to belittle Kildress - Catch yourself on!
Kildress spent 10+ years in senior football hardly the form of a sh*t team.
Kildress finished top of division 1 in 2005 and were beat by carmen in the league semi!
Think you'll remember last year when Kildress were in the championship semi and gave Coalisland (the eventual winners) a right game.
Also had some great championship encounters against the tyrone 'super powers' over the lasrt decade including a game against Carmen which ended in a controversial last minute disallowed goal and carmen winning by 2 points! I think carmen went on to win the title that year!

Judging by all your 15 posts your a CLOWN!

As a matter of interest what GREAT club do you represent on this forum?

I succeeded in winding you up anyway lol

Yip you sure did - congrats at least i now know you were winding up and not serious!  ::)

were very harsh on the moortown anyway..yes they're no world beaters, there not carrickmore or errigal, but there making the best with what they've got, just like every other club. and also they've had lots of injuries and fall-outs and sackings, from what ive heard anyway, the team you write off is sopmetimes the most dangerous!!

sometimes but not this time they are just rubbish probably the worst footballing team to play senior football in a generation its a shame on cookstown that they finished lower
