thankfully cork cannot remove the idea that they are much better than mayo from their heads, cork were given a 5 point lead in croke park and were reeled in and beaten by an inferior team in their own minds.Im not saying Mayo will win the allireland, but they will probably take one of kerry, cork, dublin or tyrone out before they finally go themselves.
tyrone were jumping for joy when they got mayo in the 2004 championship draw,an easy route for them. things seldom go to plan if you are that sure of yourself. dublin 2006 was another example, a book release ready for the dublin kerry final that never happened.
and of course, london almost caught mayo last year, while longford did the year before.

Ballina half marathon!  Any chance they will extend it to be a full marathon in the future? How many people run in this? Deel, if you ran 16 k, you are well able to do it.

great, all we have to do now is target kerrys kickouts and we have it all sewn up. why did we not think of this before?

at least put a club team out to fulfill the fixture. that or else leave the funding where it will be used by a county that fields a team. Nice win for Mayo hurlers, 1.20 or so was the score and the footballers scored 20 against the champions.
waterford, tipp, wexford, limerick and other strong hurling counties seem to put out decent football sides while mayo, kildare, kerry, carlow  etc put out hurling sides that try and compete, proving both games can live in the same county.

good luck to the mayo lads. this is a good test of where you stand.

they know full well how to hit a sliotar in mayo.plenty of kids and teens play the game now and it will only grow. dublin are good for the game, attendance alone is worth millions. then factor in watching the brogans and some of the football the team play is very nice to watch.
did a dub steal your girlfriend?

we can all be fairly sure mayo will not be champions this year, short a few players and all that, BUT, not many of the big fellas would really comfortable meeting mayo because Mayo seem to spring nasty surprises on teams that are sure of beating them. i reckon  its between kerry, cork and maybe one more.
on the betting thing, tyrone were 33/1 in august the last time they won Sam.

Bummer about the result. The performance was the big thing for me today, losing the game in that fashion is bad but at least they played well against one of the best teams. Relegation?

Mort on, oconnor off. Mayo sound like they are back at the races.

Sligonian, does the scenery help you when Sligo are after being demoralized? Mayo were leading by 5 and lost by 7, no scenery in the world would help you digest that.

Japers, that was a bad result. What do we do now James?  The next three are the hard ones, hard to see anything but 3 losses if we are not able for 14 from donegal. Who's in charge of mayo and making he tactical decisions?  Maybe too many chefs ?
Oh well, at least they have a few months to try and patch things up to repeat last years efforts.

ridiculous, who does he think he is?  its an amateur game with delusions of professionalism. Its not like they were out drinking before a game, kerry are a million miles away from being a serious hurling championship contender and here your man is acting like he has kilkenny in his sights or something.
its kerrys loss in my opinion and best of luck to those lads with whatever sport they choose to play.

Mortimer is a scoring forward, simple as that. Yes he has failed to do the business on final day for some reason or other but he had plenty of company those days, don't forget that. Horan has to get him and the rest to keep doing what they are doing, they can play fits and starts of lovely stuff, the thing is to play like that and then soak up the pressure from the likes of Kerry in championship.
Good luck to them against down tomorrow, a win would be nice.

Well done to Kilkenny on the scoring of a point,  they surely have to be team if the Weak.
