General discussion / Re: The ever gracious Paddy Barnes

Barnes the scut threw a few punches well after the final bell at the third, Mungai still went over to embrace at the end and wee Paddy threw his arm away. The guy just lets himself down badly in public, hope he matures and puts all these tantrums behind him to maximise on his talents.

I'm too young for U-16 yet. Next year hopefully, will ye be over-age then?

Is that technically possible?

Well Muppets still in nappies and sucking his dodo so probably would be considered too young....id say.

We have so much in common.

What else do we have in common beside wearing nappies and sucking on dodo? :-[

Pardon me ??  :o

Can't see us scoring 2 - 7 in the second half  :-\
Would be nice to win this one . Last time we won the JFC  in 2000 a number of them were on the Senior Connacht championship winning team of 2001( Rhubarbs might remember Gerry Lohan's goal and young Andy Moran wearing the Ros jersey as he supported his own County).

i'm not so sure about that here's the line up from 2000 S. Curran, I. Daly, G. Mockler, N. Galvin, B. Mannion, P. Noone, A. McPadden, K. Keane, D. Gillooly, G. Cox, B. O'Brien, K. Lynch, J. Neary, K. Mannion, R. O'Donohue. Sub: J. Heneghan

how many of those played in 2001?

Roscommon team 2001 Connacht final : Derek Thompson; Denis Gavin; John Whyte; Michael Ryan; Clifford McDonald; Francie Grehan; Paul Noone; Fergal O'Donnell; Seamus O'Neill (0-2); Conor Connelly (0-1); John Hanley (0-1); Stephen Lohan (0-1); Nigel Dineen; Gerry Lohan (2-2); Frankie Dolan (0-3). Subs.: Gary Cox for Dineen; Don Connellan for S. Lohan; Jonathan Dunning for Hanley; Alan Nolan for Connellan.

Sincerest condolences to family and friends. Such a tragic ending to a young life with the world ahead of him.

Mayo will never win an All Ireland with that plank O'Mahoney in charge. He is an ignorant f**k and that is on a personal level having met him. It never bodes well when a you have a lump of lard as a manager.

Never meet your heroes, hope O'Mahoney can get over this setback.

Fennells unavailablity was a disaster too and I blame the CB for not pressurising OTooles.

This has been referred to a few times, anyone care to give details if appropriate ?

He put in a transfer to one northside club in December 2007 - it was refused - he went back playing with O'Tooles.

He then put another transfer into a different northside club in December 2008 - this was also refused by his club.

He hasn't played or trained for O'Tooles since and John Costello told Gilroy that due to his situation he was unavailable for selection for Dublin.

There was a similar situation with another Dublin panellist last year but he was told by Pillar around April to go to his club or he was gone - he went back..
Thanks Heffo, recall the situation with panelist last year. Towers (C.) player.

Personally, I don't think he deserved that

Did you see what he did to be able to say that ? I did not so cannot say whether he deserves it or not.
