As I said on the other thread I have no sympathy for him because of what happened on 10. It's those chasing have more cause for complaint. If he did cause it to move though did he not also play it from the wrong spot?  It should have been replaced if he caused it to move and played as it lied if he didn't.

Surely he's entitles to do that under the rules so what's the problem??

There is no doubt the drop on 10 was wrong but he did not cause the ball to move on the green earlier, just hope Shane wins by 2!

It has turned the whole thing into a joke!! His drop on 10 was a joke and then trying to say he made the ball move on the green is a joke!! How can Shane concentrate! And we think the GAA are a joke at times, wouldn't look at it!! CMON SHANE

they seem to say if it is a penalty it will be just one shot. fair play to shane that wad some up and down. feeling a bit sorry for dj having to pkay so many holes not knowing whats going on

I have no sympathy for him. DJ used the rules to his advantage on 10 and if you live by the sword you die by the sword.

Some achievement for Trillick to come straight up from intermediate to win senior. Very few teams could do that. Having seen Kilcoo play a few times over the last couple of years they should have a chance in Ulster. Would prefer anyone else to win though.

In Armagh Cross won again. They are not the team of old but until a team in Armagh grows a set they are likely to dominate for another dozen years.

?? For any particular reason? Ulster is definitely wide open this year with a few big names out of the reckoning. Cross would have to be favourites, despite a slow start in Armagh worryingly for the rest they seem to be stepping up a gear at the right time. Kilcoo will get it tight up in Cavan but I would expect a win and would set up an outstanding semi with cross, who I presume will make the semi. Should be a good Ulster Club well worth the viewing over the next month or so.

Well done Ballinderry, better team won. A game too far for Kilcoo this year but have entertained us for 3 weeks in a row, back to back county titles and involved in 2 of the best club games i have been at.
ballinderry played super football in first half but fell into the trap of pulling 12/13 men behind ball and at a stage kilcoo got within 3points but they seen it out. Poor challenge by mcguckian which could see him miss final but think they have enough to win ulster

Will Ballinderry give the winners of the Cross / Kilcoo tie a real game? Hears they were poor against Scotstown, although they look very impressive on paper.

Glenswilly must be quietly fancying their chances of winning this outright too if all the heavyweights wear each other out...

No matter who comes out of Sunday's game will have to play 3 weeks in a row on heavy pitches so would say Ballinderry will give whoever a game. Scotstown are no bad team so it was a good win for them and as you say they do look good on paper.

QuoteA certain Mr Clarke could be around IF they got over Kilcoo on Sunday, which is very possible. Kilcoo played out of their skin and only got a draw after extra time, and arguably should have been beaten in extra time!

The Cross goal was fortuitous and Kilcoo missed a sitting goal in extra time. Even if Cross get over Kilcoo another week is not going to make much difference to the selection, although apparently they may be playing Ballinderry in Newry if that comes about.

Kilcoo got two fortuitous goals and still did not win - first was a square ball and second a keeper mistake. But how Cross still manage to be there with so many top players missing is a credit to them.

To be fair The Cross goal came from a bad defensive mistake and Kilcoo also missed a 2 on 1 chance in extra time, very little between teams and hopefully a tight game again in store in the Athletic grounds.

Looks like both A Devlin and J Johnston are both extremely doubtful which surely will swing tie to Cross. It is unbelievable that a club team can miss the players they are missing and still be competing at the highest level but also it has to be said it is also a credit to a club the size of Kilcoo's to be doing the same.
On the match hopefully it will be as good last week both teams lived on the edge with late hits and off the ball stuff which could have spilled over but was well handled by Cassidy. Ballinderry will be happiest watching the 2 teams battle it out, whoever gets through will have to recover quickly to play them.

Re the route to Galway
From 10pm to 4pm Saturday 20th July, the M1 Dublin/Belfast will be closed between J14 Ardee and J16 Dundalk East.

so Cavan-Athlone is looking better all the time!
or if you are going to Ardee, head for Kells - Mullingar.

Northbound only, south bound is ok
