Does anyone remember the tradition of 'offerings' at funerals. What would happen was that at the end of mass all the men would have go up to the altar and hand over money. Some man would be up with the priest and announce the name of the person and the amount they gave over. Talk about peer pressure!!

What sort of standard are St Peter's this year?  I know they had a poor run in Div 2 last yr but surely they'd be far too strong for Down 4th Div club? Are you playing there seconds?

Are the Cork games on this weekend or not? I thought they had until yesterday to sort it out or Croke Park would throw them out of the leagues. More empty threats from Mr Brennan?

So he hasn't time for football training but he has time for hurling training in Dunloy. 

Could you not post some details on the main issues. I know nothing about it and I would follow current affairs. I sure there's a lot of others in the same boat.

Good luck to Armagh in Div 2. I think this is the first time we have competed at that level. It will be tough but we surprised a few folk last year and hopefully we can do the same again. There's a core of good hurlers who are dedicated to the game and keen to improve. I'll be down to support them later today. You never know what type of London team will turn up but I'm sure the Armagh lads will give it their best shot.

The Armagh Board are putting a good effort into hurling at grass roots and they deserve credit in a football mad county.
