Are you for real Hardstation?
Yes and it's hardstation to you. Apart from whacking some Ballycastle boy (who said bold things about his family) over the head in a club game, he is the only hurling player in Ulster that I would rate as being up there with the best of them and a gentleman at the same time.
Why do you disagree?
He refused you service in his pub because you are only 16. Ahh, now i get it. ::)

You are entitled to your opinion, in my opinion and, a fair few ones in Cushendall, he wasnt even the best player in that great Cushendall/Antrim half back line of James Mc Naughton/Leonard Mc Keegan/ Sambo. But none of those courted the publicity/celebrity status the way Sambo did.Put it like this if he ever released another "autobiography" a good title would be "The Ego has landed"........

Officer shot during disturbances

A police officer has been shot during loyalist violence in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, police have said.
The victim was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A second man, a civilian, has also been taken to hospital after a serious assault. His condition is unknown.

Police arrested three men under terrorist legislation after stopping a car near the incident, which happened in Castlemara estate on Saturday night.

Officers were called after reports that a large crowd had gathered in Castlemara Drive at about 2230 BST.

It is believed the incidents are connected to tensions in the loyalist community in south east Antrim.

Police in the town are appealing for anyone with information about any of the incidents to contact them.

I see with the postponement of tomorrow's Hurling Quarter Finals, RTE 2's Sunday Game will feature a review of the Joe Years,at 9.30pm. Should be well worth watching, surely Spillane will have to say something good?

In any eulogies about large Joe surely Burger King should get a mention........

O2 'to get iPhone contract in UK'

Half a million phones were sold on the first weekend in the US

iPhone in action
Mobile phone operator O2 is reported to have won the sought-after deal to sell Apple's iPhone in the UK.
Press reports said that O2 is set to sign an exclusive contract shortly and should have the new phones on sale in time for Christmas.

However a spokesman for O2's owner, Spain's Telefonica, said that a deal had not been signed.

More than 500,000 iPhones were sold in the first weekend in the US by AT&T, which has exclusive rights there.

Vodafone, which had previously been tipped as the likely winner of the contract, saw its shares fall 2.4%.

The agreement with O2 is reported to include Apple receiving a continuing share of the revenue generated for the network operator.

The handsets are expected to be sold for about £300 and O2 will be hoping that the lure of the fashionable phone is enough to win customers from rival networks.

The Ger Cavlan of the NFL in more ways than one

I believe he could be in the shit over this, also apparentley some of his sponsorship deals are at risk. A stupid f**ker with too much time/money on his hands & a hint of the old "bad news/childhood friends" element about it.
