Can I be the first to say....

Rafa Out!!!

;)

Seriously though, the capitulations to Arsenal 3 times now, as well as Man United at Old Trafford and Everton at Goodison are very worrying signs to me. Something is seriously awry when Liverpool concede 6 goals to anybody, not to mind at Anfield. regardless of the team he sent out. Is he trying too hard? All this rotation shite? I'm a firm believer in a settled side, with changes only for injuries/suspensions or the occasional rest.

I'm not too worried about tonight in isolation, but there are too many of these inept performances piling up this season. It's all very well to say we will put it up to Barcalona, but in fairness they'd be liable to score 7 or 8 against LFC if they perform as they have done in the other 'big' games this season.

Also, Evil Genius, I believe that the admin warned Flameboy several times about various comments (he mentions it on that other thread). That purile stuff brings down the whole board. Any homophobic ramblings on the new board that have not been censored or triggered a warning is probably due to the Admin missing it, but sure lets ask him/her and see what they say. gaaboard is the administrator, and has been logged on here several times. (appears in red at the bottom of the screen).

In my opinion, and this is just MY opinion, racism, sectarianism, homophobia, libel and outright personal insults are just not bringing anything positive to the board.

Corn, so basically it's 'no matter how stupid (unless they are racist)'

Anyway, no bother, I agree with you. and this talk of Nazi Germany is ludicrous.

QuoteI'll back up evil genius there. No matter how stupid his claims may appear, TMT has a right to post it, it is a discussion board after all. However should he not be back off his xmas holidays yet?

Free Speech does not extend to personal insults or slanderous/libelous comments in my opinion. Also, I don't think racist comments have any place here either. If that stuff is allowed to carry on unchecked, no one will ever post here after a while. That would be a pity, as this board has lived through a lot of challenges, probably since before some of these heroes even knew what a keyboard is.

I don't think too many people get censored or banned here, and generally if it happens, they are asking for it. Look at the lattitude afforded to Flameboy.

I remember it. Jaysus I nearly remember Accrington Stanley before they went bust the first time around :D

Scouse Accent

'If you don't drink your milk, my mam says you'll only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley'

'Accrington Stanley?!? Who are they?'

'Exactly'

I think detectives need them is wrong. That can't be Gunners, because Arsenal is mentioned later on. Must be something to do with Clues or something.

I think Micko has a very good eye for a team that would have potential alright. Notwithstanding my earlier comments, he seems to be able to pick a job where he knows there is a fair chance of 'relative success'. I.e. if he gets Wicklow to a Leinster final , he's done a good job there.

However, as I've said, it's almost a self-fulfilling prophesy. If the players believe they can win, then they have a great chance from the get-go. Micko telling them he thinks they can win is a huge boost, because he's seen it all before, hence they believe a bit more in themselves. As the aura fades away though, and they are running their 250th lap of the field, while listening to their mates in college talking about the latest methods being employed elsewhere, then the doubt sets in. That causes a gradual loss of form. Micko usually spots this very quickly, and abandons ship before anything disasterous happens. Everyone then remembers the good wins and stuff, and he goes away and gets another job.
