Good lad the BogBall!

Don't understand the crying here either, it's an all Ireland final for jesus sake, if they want a weekend give it to them. Nobody's saying all football is cancelled, grab a ball an kick like frig in your back garden, use a wall to kick her against if your U21 buddy is resting!

U21 managers "have backed fixture planners into a corner"... what, by getting to an All Ireland Final? The fact that they're goin for a trainin weekend doesn't mean the football wudnt have been called off anyway. Maybe could have made the call before Wednesday but boys if you work at weekends you have to accept that there's goin to be some disruption like. Good luck to the lads, theyv obviously worked hard.

"Quarterback" the point your trying to make about making club football more of a priority is fine but your arguments are absolute nonsense. Playing a game that close is definitely not enough time to be at the level you would want to be at going into an All Ireland series. And no, Tyrone training would absolutely not be as intense on a Tuesday night during the season as a club match would be.. you've no idea what your talking about if you think that's the case.

Anyway, as has been said, I'd be very surprised if any of the u21 county lads that have any aspirations of starting during the week will take part in club football this weekend. It's not a perfect scenario but sure when is it ever guna be, just have to make-do. I for one am just mad looking forward to getting the league up and running.

I think this is very unfair, particulary on a club like trillick, who have 4 u21s , who play strabane in thier first game back up in senior.
I would say that this weekends club games wont go ahead, which I wouldnt really have a problem with, apart from the fact that this is now thursday and noone still seems to know what it happening

Everything I've heard is that games will go ahead, but yeah its absolutely a disadvantage to Trillick and every other team involved, theres plenty I know, but postponing the league I wouldn't be in favour of myself. I don't know what the official line will be but I'm just saying I'd be very surprised if any of the lads were to take part in club this weekend, a Saturday match for all the teams affected seems to be the compromise being proposed but we'll know shortly enough

I don't think that's the case I know that's the case as I can speak from experience.  You choose to ignore the other points I make regarding the organisation lads make for a league game.  With a larger number off lads working away from home flights are usually pre-booked.  Do you have any ideas how this could be sorted or is it just drop everything and fu*k the clubs

I don't know what club matches you be watching, but there's not a whole pile would be tougher than match pace football and all the allowances would be made for any man with niggles and tightness and whatever else so don't be silly, its not the same at all nevermind tougher.

I'm not ignoring the other points I just didn't have as big a grievance with them, but if your asking... I'm not saying f**k the clubs at all, I said at the start I agree more priority needs to be given to club, but I'm saying play on regardless and let the county men make their own decisions. Those 4 men that left the panel this week obviously did and I'm not saying they are right or wrong, they just weighed it up for themselves and that was the decision for them. With regards to arranging matches to suit men across the water is just unrealistic, you'll never accommodate that. Them men have decided to go, they knew the downfalls of that when they made their decision to go in the first place, get back for what they can when they can, but just like you say regarding county players, everybody else can't be held to ransom to suit flights booked. It's an amateur game, there's a lot of ball to be played and men work and there's always a million other things, so possible match-daytime frames are a precious commodity, needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few... Play away I say

what's the opinion on the supposed change to the order of matches with reserve games being played after the senior? is it actually set in stone at this point does anybody know or is it just all talk? Can only be good for the seniors - finally be a bit of hot water for a shower for once
Is this definitely happening? and for all divisions?
I think we'd be better playing the reserves separate on a Friday night than this. I can see us travelling to the far end of the county, watching half the senior game, getting togged out for the reserves and then being told the other club don't have enough for a reserve game

na can't see it, I know they split the games in other countys but no, think itd be a mess, its hard enough to get reserves out nevermind ask them to give up their Friday night as well to travel purely for a reserve game which as you say may just be called off half the time. Its all about maintaining numbers for most clubs and half the reserve players turn up because of the senior match, darn't split that up

Decent set-up in Greencastle alright, but a $hite place to play from a players perspective as the wind is always ridiculous.

Nothing like a big wind to ruin a match. Greencastles facilities are top notch, it's the exposed location that lets it down.

awful, worst thing ever happened is the big new development because its attracting more games than ever, conditions just be a disaster, its so open even the atmosphere is destroyed.
Strabane's surface is first class and Killyman's has always been superb too.
Couple of bad fields throughout the country too of course but generally facilities are much better than their counterparts in the rest of ulster I believe

Agree 100% with you Redhand on the refereering aspect to yesterdays game,  the problem with this lies with the inconsistency of refereering.  What is a tackle and what is not a tackle?  Each referee has completely different interuption to a tackle.  How is this then coached technically by trainers/coaches?  Its outside the control of players and Management. Without question,  Tyrone full back line has been extremely consistent in this league campaign and I have been impressed by McNamee, McCrory and McCarron over the games.  You correctly point out the cuteness of Donegal,  but on the flip side of that,  Tyrone should be well aware of these small areas of Donegals game and by now we should be trying to counter act these in some shape or form. As mad a suggestion it might be but is it time to move away from the skin tight tops and back to older more loose styled top to accentuate the quick pull back by opponents that now goes un-noticed, unbooked?   Michael Murphys frees again could be looked at, would there be any possibility of putting him off his stride?  I did notice (I stand corrected if wrong) that Michael Murphy kicked a free wide in the second half, third quarter,  but seconds before his kick Peter Harte walked across the path of the ball (intentionally or not, I'm unsure).  Two years ago Donegal focused on Morgans kicks,  this year Tyrone need to be coming with new ideas, new forward thinking strategies to counter act Donegals strong points. It will be difficult in Ballybofey at the best of times, but a no show would be unbearable.  It will be a great battle in Healy Park come Sunday another massive yardstick for Tyrone to measure against the 2014 All Ireland Champions.

That's actually a good point re the jersies.

nonsense, the reverse would be the case to highlight any pulling, a baggy jersey would do nothing only leave you more open to getting pulled and hauled and go unnoticed.. 'mon boys if we didn't have skins sure there'd be no point in getting a six pack a tall a tall

Is there any official word on dates to go with the fixtures published on the Tyrone website?

think it all depends on what way the Tyrone u21's fair out
