GAA Discussion / Re: Tyrone v Fermanagh

The minors were very good yesterday - it looks like the Tyrone minors could go places this year - Kyle Coney was excellent and is very talented and it will be nice to see him doing it for the club in the next few weeks, months and years to come. I was very impressed with young Mc Kenna from Pomeroy - also Paul Martin Fintona had an excellent game - we have all these lads to look forward to.

I don't know where this story came from - Brian's vision is still a blur - I hope that the story turns out to be true but I think it is nothing but mere speculation at the moment  - The BBC website runs funny stories - it ran a story about a riot involving spectators, players and officials a few weeks ago which was completely wild and without foundation. This sounds like another one.

I agree with you - Ardboe do lack scoring forwards - a lot like to come out and play around the middle - any ideas on the best inside forward line ? Who would you play middle ?

Again, I would be very sceptical about this story regarding Brian - at this point in time, Brian has not regained his vision and everything is still a blur - so this story is wide off the mark - I hope I'm wrong !!!

I agree - imagine trying to pick a team from Ardboe, Moortown, Brocagh, Derrytresk,Derrylaughan, Clonoe, Coalisland, Stewartstown ??

Imagine even trying to pick a team from Moortown and Ardboe ?? It wouldn't be easy and there be manys a row !!!!!!!!!!!!

A WIN IS A WIN IS A WIN ! Tyrone can't get any worse than yesterday - Tyrone won with about 4 people playing well - so if they can get their act together and play forwards who are forwards ( seems silly but true ) then they could still be a force to be reckoned with - All Ireland final ? NO CHANCE !!! They'll do well to make quarter finals - my opinion - the loss of O'Neill and Mc Guigan is too great and Mc Guigan in particular CAN'T BE REPLACED -

How can you get tickets for Sunday's game in Ballybofey ? Is it all ticket ?

He did have the operation to repair the retina today and by all accounts things went as well as could be expected - let's all keep out fingers crossed that he will regain 100% vision and that he will grace the fields of Ireland once again and that the next time he takes the field, there won't be any hallions around and that there willa referee who will give him a bot of protection !!!!!!

I know the referee was poor but picking the ball off the ground 10 times isn't accpetable - once the players saw that he was going to blow that free all the time, they should have stopped doing it - but there's no excuse for senior players picking the ball off the ground - maybe the future lies with some of these good minor players ? Maybe it's time to dump the dead wood and move on to boys that will die for the jersey ?

I agree with you about long lame excuses - the referee, the weather, injuries  ( did you ever see as many injuries ), management - you know the same old rubbish - who is going to grab the game by the scruff of the neck - another performance like that against Cookstown and we'll be gone -

Errigal matcch - little might have happebed but you know the way things tend to get blown out of ALL proportion - did the referee note any names last night ? will the incident be included in the referees report ? who got hit ?

I agree with you but surely last night was the night to put on a performance for Brian's sake ? What do you think was wrong last night ? Surely you can't use tiredness as an excuse ? Tired ? No way - can't be tired - uninterested - maybe but not tired -

i hear there's going to be an investigation into the Brian Mc Guigan incident ? surely Tyrone's top players need protection when they're on the field even if it is only a reserve match ?

what happened at the carmen / errigal match ? were officials involved ? why should the ref have sent off these men ? was there fighting ? who was referee ? had he umpires with him ?
