Where do all these clubs get the money from
Burren in ballybofey for a training weekend
Rostrevor in johnstown house
Drumgath in gweedore for the weekend as well

3 teams with big ambitions this year

Do you just make this stuff up? Drumgath were training on their own field at 9 am yesterday

Anyone know when the dates and venues for each first round game of the championship will be announced? Have a wedding that weekend and assuming they will be played from Thursday to Monday? Intermediate if that makes any difference

Fair play to Derry. Wouldn't have seen that coming even on the back of their league performance. Is it only 3 years from they were in Div 4? There's hope yet for Down  :'(

I'd love to know what the DUP MLA's really think about Jeff staying in Westminster. All bluster that he was coming back to NI. So he keeps his MP gig whilst the MLA's are left in no mans land for who know how long. Can't imagine this is going down well with absolutely everyone internally.
Outside chance Alliance nicks his seat if he does vacate it? He is absolutely pathetic every time I see him interviewed, Unionism is seriously lacking leadership.

Can't help but think that this hasn't been very well thought out. He's now staying in London so likely your man Rankin will be brought in as MLA. But what happens in 6 months time and another election? Jeff gona kick Rankin out, stand again telling everyone that he is going to go into the assembly? Strong chance that would surely backfire

Talk of UUP and SDLP not making it into the executive. Do they have to get a specific number of candidates elected to get in or a specific number of votes?

Thanks folks. I get the feeling I could be on the wrong side of a 10k bill here given it's to cross a main road and all their fees associated with that!

Looking at buying a small plot of land with a derelict house. NIE has been disconnected many years ago as it was coming in overhead and onto the gable peak. The main pole is at the opposite side of the main road directly opposite the house. Anyone know what NIE will be looking to charge to cross the main road with a cable? Category B road, ie main road with white line up the middle. Basically a days work but I've heard these guys can have thousands for this kind of thing?

Jim Wells is some clown, walking about rathfriland with a ladder at half 8 on a Friday nite putting up TUV posters. Anything to keep a woman out of a job

Would the lack of success at St Colmans indicate not all is well in Down football? Abbey never produced but been a while since Colmans won anything of sort.

The presentation of the 2019/20 Danske Bank MacRory Cup has taken place with the winning captains from St Patrick's Maghera and St Colman's Newry. The Final had been rescheduled to take place earlier this month, but a decision was taken to cancel this owing to the current public health situation. As a result, the trophy was shared between the two finalists. 🤔

Bad state of affairs when Colmans are clinging on to a shared trophy. I'd seriously doubt they'd have beat a star studded Maghera side (back boned Derry minor AI winning team). I can't remember when they last won a Rannafast or Corn na Nog.

Clinging?

With Preseason under way, what club teams do you think will take the next step this year?

A club like Drumaness should not be languishing in Division 4 with the players they have. I expect a push from them this season and with their new set up they should get a kick. Paddy Morgan should get them motoring and if they can get a bit of momentum going I fully expect them to get out of the division. They are a sleeping giant.

Until the soccer season starts.....

Saval and rostrevor spotted Sunday morning on my walk in kilbroney. The teams must be in for a big season

Not from either of these clubs but hardly strange to start training in January.
