Well done mayo, not giving up on lost causes is the reason they won. A little more composure and they could be contenders in the summer.
And no doubt ye'll definitely be contenders in the Autumn . Maybe even the start of a 3 in a row.
Time for a " Who can stop...." thread  ;D ;D
Well if they could stop panicking when they see a Kerry jersey in summer who else is there to frighten them? Roscommon?  Mayo are a good enough team, not a great team but then neither are Dublin.

Got it in one. You're a sharp one, I hope you're never managing Mayo or we might have some trouble with ye!
Thanks, I get that a lot.

I heard the mayor of belfast on the radio yesterday in new York. He was promoting and very proud of his city as he should be. I laughed to myself when he said to the interviewer " you don't sound very convinced".  Interviewer brought up the "troubles" and was quickly told they were well over.
Sounded like a fella that could do well in American politics, and is 28 years old which was very interesting.

I went out to America to work and hurl one summer and packed 3 of them in my suitcase.
They had magically vanished when I landed on the other side.

Probably for sale in the ghettoes of Brooklyn, lads there are big into the old hurling ya know.

Puccoon is right, your metabolism slows a lot as you age. Spuds, white rice, beer, white bread, sweets and all soft drinks are your enemy in the weight battle. Lots of water and any exercise that makes you sweat will go a long way in helping you lose a belly. Check out compound exercises and do them lightly to start, joints and muscles are weak on even tough looking lads that are not used to training. Running of any sort, compound exercises and a cleaner diet would see that 3 stone gone in months rather than years. The trick is to not go cold turkey and deny yourself, just cut the bad stuff back to a taste. And log the exercise on an open page so you will see the progress, same thing for the weight loss. Log it on a given day every week. When you see it dropping the rest will fall into place.
I am helping someone with what you are doing at the moment and they have lost 14 pounds since mid January and have another 40 to go. The person got professional diet advice.
It's too bad people let themselves get that size, my sister weighs 275 pounds, 41 years old and can barely walk a mile.

Well done Mayo, nervy enough stuff for a league game. I was sweating when Kerry got the equalizer that the keeper would drive it out to them for the winner. Kerry Just have some real class players, they know how to do it.

we can have no complaints here about kerry, they trashed us last august when it counted. A Mayo win tomorrow means very little in the championship, though the extra games are no harm either, especially if kerry and co field really strong teams to win a semi or final.

If ever a psychiatric illness could sum up a set of football fans then surely bi-polar would be wrapped in the green and red.

i am sure the one hundred and twenty years tyrone werent winning much had an effect on the tyrone minds too, especially when they were close to the top in the mid nineties.

I reckon mayo will be fairly close in this one, Kerry already qualified and all that. Someone mentioned goals, dead right, a goal or two would make things a lot easier against Kerry and the likes, and they always seem to want goals against us to soften us up. Doherty should be played for that alone, we should be aiming for goal a lot more since we have the players that can get them, and we wont kick 20 points every game.
Best of luck to them ,some turn around if we win after the donegal episode.

For one, this is the worst possible scenario for Sligo if they wanted to spring a surprise in the final, Roscommon isn't going to get complacent like a Galway or Mayo team might in this position. Coming to the Hyde won't help matters. Oh, and our team itself is loaded with talented players. That usually helps.

Sligo are an unknown quantity at the moment and it could well be a very tight affair. We have the bench to change that sort of a game with the likes of John McManus and Cathal Shine to bring on. We should do it, and that's no disrespect to Sligo.

Nothing to worry about, loaded with talent an all that!

thankfully cork cannot remove the idea that they are much better than mayo from their heads, cork were given a 5 point lead in croke park and were reeled in and beaten by an inferior team in their own minds.Im not saying Mayo will win the allireland, but they will probably take one of kerry, cork, dublin or tyrone out before they finally go themselves.
tyrone were jumping for joy when they got mayo in the 2004 championship draw,an easy route for them. things seldom go to plan if you are that sure of yourself. dublin 2006 was another example, a book release ready for the dublin kerry final that never happened.

Arrah, plenty of teams can beat Mayo, in Connacht and outside the 'top four'. Mayo are the ultimate swing team and it amazes me no end that Mayoeens never seem to realise that. I can't ever remember a year in my entire life where I could say Mayo were at all sure of a Connacht title.

thats what i just said!  you dropped the longford and london piece of the end for some reason. london were the second worst team in the championship last year and mayo had a very hard time beating them. plenty of teams can beat kerry too, tyrone did, down did, dublin did, meath did, etc etc.
my point is that nobody can be sure of victory because on the day the underdog might have more bite than bark.
