Has the draw been made for the semi's yet?

Yeah that's the thing, O'Gara has a lot of positives but contributes very little direstly to the scoreboard, especially today. Brogan knew O'Gara wasn't shooting well and took the shot on himself, understandable in fairness even if he probably should have passed in hindsight.

Agreed. In my opinion, based on league and champ form there is no-one near him or with the potential to get near him for the POTY award. Incredible player.

QuoteSeamus Coleman would have been worth a look last night.

Actually, yeah thats a good point, totally forgot about him. The management seem seriously conservative when it comes to trying out new players, especially in problem positions like left and right back. Coleman definitely would have been worth a look though.

Watched the game last night and I thought Kilbane looked seriously past it, eventhough I was never much of a fan and I realise he was up against Messi a good bit. Surely Ireland would be better served if O'Shea went left back and then Dunne and St. Ledger were in the middle with McShane on the right? (I wouldn't start McShane personally, but he played ok last night and it looks like there is absolutely no one else challenging for the right back spot).

Have to say, I used to think he was handed all stars every year as well, but having watched him live a lot in recent times I can see he is an excellent keeper and probably the best in the game. Definitely the best kickouts I've seen of any goalkeeper- always gives his team mates more than a 50/50 chance of winning the ball, whereas most keepers nowadays seem to just kick the ball in the general direction of their team mates.

He seems to make all the right decisions under the high ball too, even though he doesn't look particularly tall. Anyway, if Dublin win the AI or even if they get to the final I feel he should be in with more than a shout of an all star, especially given his contribution vs. Tryone.

Have to say O'Gara from Dublin looks like an animal...he threw a few Tyrone boys around Croker last week fairly easily.

QuoteAnyone think that O'Connor and Kirby will go on to follow Aiden O'Se or will we have to give them time?

I don't think either will go straight to senior like Aiden O'Shea did if that's what you're asking.

Both look like good talents but is O'Connor more talented than his older brother? i.e. both are/were very good freetakers but contribution from play isn't that substantial I find. Would have to see more of Kirby to make an assessment there.

Anyway what the senior team really needs (moreso than midfielders or forwards) is some good defenders, especially corner backs. And if we could get one or two out of this minor team that would be great...

I thought Mayo were always the better team. Took the goals very well and the backs were pretty tight. A few players with potential on both teams but Mayo probably have the better team.

Agree that he was by far the best president. A hell of a lot better than the guy that came after that's for sure.

Have to agree with those saying Webb did ok. The boys on RTE go unbelievably over the top on everything, thought their analysis last night was rubbish. That game was unreal hard to referee and I would guess that he did his best not to mess the game up by sending off 3 or 4 players. Made two poor decisions, the De Jong kick on Alonso and the corner to Holland. Other than that I would like the RTE boys to tell me what he did wrong?

Spain deserved to win and Holland should have no complaints, especially given Robbens two one-on-one's. Also, on last nights evidence, Fabregas should definitely start for Spain.

53 YRS OF HURT is what caused those grown men to go mental. I certainly dont blame them, them umpires and sludden should be banned from GAA, cheating shower of c*nts. They all saw it especially the 2 umpires.

That would want to be a wind-up because if not I think it's safe to put you in the same category as those delinquent "fans".
