only arrived in sydney a few weeks ago off the back of it, its well worth doin and everything is taken care of in terms of accomodaqtion and travel. Some people dont like bangkok because its dirty but the people there are all characters and despite bein poor they are all happy. I'll repeat what someone else said about the tuk tuks, theyre ok once or twice for the novelty but beware of any that are very cheap, they take you to gem sellers and tailors, very hard to get out without spendin and a few of the lads ended up lugging suits around for the rest of the trip. After that the jungle is unreal if all the group do the activities and krabi/phi phi is amazin too. Malaysia is ok but muslim, just dont put on a head scarf in a public place like I did or you could be in bother. Singapore is clean but very expensive, make sure not to be found with porn/illegal dvds or chewing gum crossing the border or you'll spend time behind bars or a few thousand dollar fine.

Will be leaving heading for Oz for a year soon and was wondering about internet calling systems like SKYPE, MSN, Yahoo, Net2Phone for calling the folks back home with the bonus of a picture. Has anyone any experience of this and whats the quality service like? As far as I know its free but can be upgraded, do you get much more for your money? Also my laptop has a webcam built-in and a wireless voip phone thingy(which I don't know an awful lot about and i haven't got round to setting up) so I presume I wouldn't need any other hardware.
