Hostile crowd, posionous atmosphere, abuse, fans spitting venom... Welcome to any Derry v Tyrone match at Healy Park, Celtic Park, Clones or Casement.  Some people on here must not attend these games or are blind, deaf and dumb to the antics of their own fans.

As for the Kerry tactics, Derry did exactly the same in 2006 in Omagh. Derry won by 6pts. Hub Hughes got sent off due to thumping Hinphey. Nothing was learned from that day with how to cope with that game plan.

Tyrone won the UMFC in '97 '98 and '01 which was the basis of the Senior winning sides in '03 '05 and '08.  But they also had victories at U21 level as well.  Tyrone won the UMFC in '03 '04 '07 '08 '10 and now '12. Where are those players? How come those sides haven't supplied the same amount of players that the previous teams did? Winning minor titles is important but no reflection of how the senior team will play in the future.

Why does anyone expect anything other than mediocrity. The three Ulster sides no longer involved in the C'ship in July have less All-Ireland senior titles put together than Louth. There is a massively over inflated expectation placed on some teams.

Duffy's Circus strikes again.  Radio Ulster commentators haven't got a clue why the free was given.

When he took over Sunderland they were way down the table. They ended up wining the championship and going up to the premier league where he kept them for a season. Not great after that but to say he has had no success as a manager is just wrong.

No. when he took over Sunderland they had just changed ownership and he was given a ball of money to out-spend the rest of the championship - which is what he did. They then struggled to stay in the premier league and guess what ... he walked out when the heat was on (so unlike our Roy!!).

Get it right.
In fairness to Keane, He took charge of Sunderland 4games into a new season. They were relegated with the lowest points in PL history, the previous season. They had yet to gain a point. He only had a few days to the transfer window closed and signed maybe 5/6 players. Over the course of the promotion season he spent maybe 7/8million. Hardly a lot of money for the Championship. They won the Championship, Keane was Manager of the Year.
That is the only decent thing he achieved in his managerial career. It has been all downhill since then. I don't believe too many other managers could have achieved what he did with SAFC that season.

Magilligan and tohill for me. Individually, neither was in the class of D o,shea or jack, but they were the best midfield partnership I have ever seen, strength, ability, guile and hunger in abundance. If derry could have kept them together for longer I'm sure the oak leafs would have had more of Sam.

If only..
