Hozier stole the show for me the lad has some serious game. If he can get over the notorious 2nd Album he'll be a superstar.

Kaiser Chiefs?? f**k me they are brutal!
Another time a support act steals the show by all accounts...

I wonder how much A) Not having been standing around for hours and B) Not as pissed as you are later in the day influences peoples opinions though.
I wouldn't pay much attention to what SE has to say on the matter. I would wait for some more relevant opinions before making a judgement.

Tridents. Seriously. f**k off.

Foo Fighters are decent but don't really have the wow factor Slane is known for. Hozier is good but the lad has barely an album's worth of material to draw from at this stage..
Indeed. Slane needs to return to the  wow factor headliners like Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi and Stereophonics  ::)

The purpose of the Church is to lead people toward salvation. How can one be s clergyman yet defy scriptural teaching?
You're some man for one man Tony!
You follow every little piece of scripture. Well played.

Bryson is right for once. The referendum result will make Protestant resistance in the North to a United Ireland even more stronger and will also reduce its appeal to many sincere Catholics. With the SDLP and SF vote in decline, never has the time been more opportune for a unionist party to reach out to Northern Catholics, and cement partition for all time.

The Prince of Wales showed more respect to the Catholic Church and faith in Ireland this week than the average 26 county citizen does.
Does Bryson realise that same sex marriage is allowed by law in the rest of the union that he so adores?

Twitter is observational, this board is topic specific.Unlike others here I do not indulge in personal abuse ( not anymore) yet I am frequently threatened with bans?

Comments on this board  against Catholicism, and Christianity in general are an absolute disgrace, but those who post them seem to be immune from any form of chastisement.
Your view is 'Twitter is observational' yet you fail to make any observations about the global news story that is referendum debate. Twitter is the perfect media for that. You could even wind up more people on Twitter than you could on here.

Tony, why do you only reserve your very strong views on this subject for gaaboard?
You're an active Twitter user with upwards of 10k tweets, yet very few comments are made about such contentious issues. I seriously doubt that you would even think about tweeting the Baggott St quip for fear of the expected backlash.

If I remember correctly, the ref sent, I think it was Conor Gormley, back to his own half after lining up as a sweeper v Meath in a qualifier Croker a few years ago.

I remember listening to a game on the radio a couple of years ago, it could have been this one, where a substitution had been made for the  start of the second half in which a  forward had been replaced by a defender. The commentator made reference to the fact that one team was lined out with 5 forwards and 7 defenders. No mention was given to the ref ensuring correct placement for the throw in.

In 1992 Matt Molloy played the All Ireland Final against Dublin and never kicked the ball once. I don't have an issue with the Hand Pass, in fact the Kerry teams of the Golden Era used the hand pass a lot (Including Bomber's goals!). When it is used as part of a quick movement of ball, I don't think there's anything boring or wrong with it.

That said, the quickest way of moving the ball is the kick pass, and that would be my preferred option where it is 'on', but you need movement, skills and space to execute that. The blanket defence chokes the space and limits the movement.

I love the idea of Matt Molloy togging out at full back for Donegal.

Got to see most of the match and Sexton was just anonymous. He missed a conversion in the first half (hit the post) and Machenaud kicked the penalties in the second half that took Racing in front.

Stupid play from Racing as they were counting down the clock in the last minute meant they give away a penalty. So Saracens had the last kick to win it. It was a good distance out so it was given to Bosch to hit it.

Peter Docherty: took North of Ireland to World Cup Qtr Finals, qualifying ahead of Italy who were in their group.

Martin O'Neill: ended Rangers domination in Scotland and took a Mourinho side to extra time in a European Final.

Neil Lennon: Masterminded Celtic's second most outstanding result of all time, after inheriting a shambles in 2010.

Michael O'Neill : took a LofI club to group stages of Europa league and is on brink of qualifying for Euro 2016 finals.

Rodgers:Nearly won Premiership and has stabilised Liverpool after a very difficult start, earning my belated admiration.
Wim Jansen ended Rangers dominance by ending their bid for 10 in a row. While O'Neill was at the club Rangers still managed a couple of titles.
Are you seriously basing Neil Lennons greatness on a one off result at home in front of a partisan crowd? Even Moyes has managed a team to beat Barcelona

For what it's worth, the Opta Stats team of the tournament is

Loose Head - Alistair Dickinson (Scotland)
Hooker - Leonardo Ghiraldini (Italy)
Tight Head - Dan Cole

Second Row - Luke Charteris (Wales)
Second Row - Johnny Gray (Scotland)

Blind Side - Peter O'Mahony (Ireland)
Number 8 - Billy Vunipola (England)
Openside - Chris Robshaw (England)

Scrum Half - Conor Murray (Ireland)

Outhalf - George Ford (England)

Wing - Jack Nowell (England)

Inside Centre - Robbie Henshaw (Ireland)

Outside Centre - Jonathan Joseph (England)

Wing - Tommy Bowe (Ireland)

Fullback - Stuart Hogg (Scotland)

You'd have to be wearing a serious set of green tinted glasses to have Tommy Bowe in any team of the tournament in fairness

It wasn't a tournament for Wingers with only North, Watson and Bowe playing all the games for their teams. Ireland won so Tommy Bowe should get the nod I think.
Clive Woodward selected Bowe in his team of the tournament as well.

Ireland have played 30+ mins against teams with players in the bin in this years 6nations:
10mins against Italy
10mins against France
12mins (approx) against Wales

In that time they only managed two tries, both against a weakening Italian side.
This actually represents half of our try total and one of those was a penalty try.
If they are to put a decent target for England to chase something dramatic needs to happen against Scotland.
