Fred should really not come out in the second half, he's as poor a PL footballer there's ever been

Stood on de gea for good measure. Should be 1-0 Arsenal

Trumera will have their work cut out for them against Maynooth. They are really a kildare senior team,  back to back intermediate for them over Naas. The promotion to senior is stupid in kildare,  they got caught in promotion game a few days after celebrating 2020 win. Tadgh Forde, cathal mccabe  and David Qualter are the main men to be minding.

That game was postponed for some reason.
COVID cases in Maynooth team seemingly.

Watching CB match on RTÉ player here. All to play for in 2nd half and have the wind.

Any stats men here. Back to back titles in both hurling and football. When was the last time that happened?

2017-2018 ? Camross and Portlaoise off top of my head?

Another great win for Park yesterday against a Carlow side, it's been some year for them altogether. Don't see why some people reckon they'll struggle with Senior football, they have plenty of youth and athleticism with the likes of Podge Dunne and Fingleton in the middle a very mobile duo. I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach a Leinster final with the form they're in.

Yesterday they were sloppier than they were in Laois championship, but a win all the same.  The opposition were woeful though. Will do them good though and focus the mind. I do agree they won't be far off it if they play like they did earlier in championship. Another challenge in 2 weeks vs Wexford champions at home venue.

Missing one if not 2 lads with covid as well?

Good to see both Laois clubs progressing yesterday

In fairness to them they've been on the beer for a while and as an above poster said were missing a few starters . They'll take yesterdays win all day long .

Blowing out the cobwebs and rightly so when you win a county title, in their case, titles, beer away🍺

As I said, a win is a win. Different test the next day however.

The Times and Fabrizio Romano more or less confirming he's gone. Will probably be official overnight. Will be interesting who comes next.

Good win for Mountrath over Castlecomer yesterday in the schools hurling.

Portlaoise Cbs beaten by 4 points by Bagnelstown in the Senior Schools C yesterday

Given the population of that school and the number of clubs feeding into the school,it's abysmal to say the least the state that Gaelic games is in there

Across all levels in hurling they are in C and bar senior football where they are in the B,they are in the C at every other grade of football as well.

Compare and contrast with the Girls school on the same campus and what they have achieved across 3/4 codes

That truly is a very sad state of affairs. And it's only going to get worse. With no real plan in place for development of hurling in the town, it will have a huge knock on affect not just in Portlaoise but for any county hurling teams going forward. How has it come to be so bad. Is their anyone in that club willing to address the problems.
Apologies seen the post now. Yeah it's disappointing that they're in the C. If the likes of Naas CBS can be in a B competition they should be at least matching that. Not trying to go off topic referring to other counties; and we wonder when we lost to Kildare at minor when we've highest urban population exposed to shoddy standard and not even standing out in it. Great to see Mountrath doing well but disappointing to see former school gone to dogs both football and hurling.

Portlaoise to win,  I was so impressed by their first half against us.  Unreal stuff

Portlaoise had their arses handed to them today.

Portarlington far superior and will reign supreme for a few years. Will easily do 3 in a row. I'd say it's the end of that current Portlaoise team for a while. While they never got going and wasteful up front, they never looked like winning. Portarlington had the luxury of missing a penalty as well. Game was over after about 20 minutes. Disappointing spectacle for a neutral but fair play to Portarlington; bossed it from start to finish. Colm Murphy and Paddy O Sullivan standouts for me today.
A possible dark horse for Leinster.

The junior went to the wire in normal time. Ballyroan had too much in extra time. Missed a ball of chances and should have been home and hosed in normal time. Questionable for referee to signal 1 minute extra time and finished on just 63 minutes giving ballyroan a chance to equalise. They'll be strong enough to stay intermediate next year too!

Borris Kilcotton advertising a Games Promotion officer position

There's a few clubs taking up the option of Games Promotion Officer in Laois. I know my own club are sharing one among 3 clubs as a start. 1-2 town clubs clubs I think exploring on their own from what I heard.

A good addition providing the GPOs are decent at coaching.

Yeah Borris Kilcotton left that behind them this evening. Couldn't get the ball to stick in the forwards in 2nd half. Credit to Clough Ballacolla worthy winners and hopefully give a good account of themselves in Leinster club championship.
I'm not sure if eyes deceiving me but thought there were a fair few throw balls on both sides today.

Ballyfin indiscipline near the end cost them too. Though Balinakill more likely to stay at senior after winning today. Time will tell.

Harps have won 2 from 2

Wins over borrisileigh and Cashel

Into Div 2 semifinal

2 relatively convincing wins this morning. Naas in semi final at 2. Final at 5 in Semple Stadium. Would be great to see them winning it out after being so convincing in Laois.

Men against boys. Ronaldo very lucky to be still on the field too.

An absolute joke at the back. Hard way back for Ole.
