I remember a few years back there was a row of round bales up on the hill with the words "9 in a row" for everyone who drove the road to see.

At the time there were alot of indiscriminate killings of catholics by the loyalists. I don't say nationalists, it didnt matter.  Scary times, imagine being a mother or father when your child went out for the night

Always thought the Portumna v Birr games a few years back were quite novel. Neighboring towns in different provinces who would otherwise not have had the chance to play eachother competitively only for the fact they were two of hurlings powerhouses at the time.

Sorry Nally but i have travelled a fair bit round the world and believe it or not there are other news stations than the bbc and utv and they show the riots and the bonfires and the usual shite that happens, so the rest of the world do see what goes on round here

Absolute drivel onion bag. Completely with Nally on this one. I have been in Australia for two years now and lived in New York for six months; both flag bearers of the Western world. I watch the news regularly and not once in my time have I seen or heard mention of these happenings in the North. Do you really think the likes of this is of any significance to the rest of the world?

Anyway could you settle an ongoing feud I am having with a friend of mine and tell me in your opinion lb for lb who was the superior boxer between sugar ray and roberto Duran?

long drawn out posts do not an expert make!

Who's claiming to be an expert?

What fighter of any substance has haye really beat? he can stand about all day and shoot his mouth off; but in the cold light of day you have to wonder who the real winner here is? and that can only be frank warren who will be rubbing his hands

Forgive my ignorance but where did the word stoop come from and what does it mean?

Milltown, the sdlp have long been satiracally referred to as the Stoop Down Low Party, hence the term 'stoops', not sure exactly when this came to prominence but they have been referred to as 'stoops' by their detractors for some time now
