Obviously the ref has either viewed it deliberate or accidental with excess force?

Quote from: Coffeebeforeand on Today at 12:33:41 PMAre we going to comment on the conduct and outcome of the minor teams this year?

With the number of minor footballers who walked off the panel due to management and then we have the latest from the minor hurling which presents huge safeguarding breaches

Who's accountable for the performance of these people? Coaching officer? County Board?

safeguarding breaches? you've obviously registered to chat shit on this matter. Maybe chatting to club secretary or whatever means would be a better avenue to go down?

Quote from: Saffrongael on Today at 12:33:33 PMIt looked like more than minimal contact from where i was standing, if you hit someone on helmet or face guard you are asking for trouble.

Whelan went off for a while for treatment, & as NAH said above we would have been looking for a red the other way about. Down to 14 obviously didn't help but very poor in second half and probably expended a lot of energy in the first half

How many times in both games yesterday did someone reach in and flick for the ball and catch the opponent accidently on the face guard or helmet.

I can think of at least 3 instances off the top of my head and no red cards.

Laois / Re: 2024 Joe McDonagh Cup
Last post by redsetanta - Today at 12:21:29 PM
The one thing I would say is that Laois have been unstoppable since that win against Offaly.
The best team in the competition.
The Offaly win seems to have given them a lot of confidence.
Plenty of players have been used and Maher has rotated with every game and during games.
We have a very good panel and subs have been used at the right time in games.
Overall I think management have also done very well and will have the lads ready for the final.
The only downside I see is Offaly in Croke Park, a place where we haven't fared so well against them in the past and tradition and mentality will play a big part.
Looking forward to what should be a cracking game of hurling.

Laois / Re: 2024 Joe McDonagh Cup
Last post by Laois Rising - Today at 12:07:48 PM
I think this game is possibly more 60/40 in Offaly's favour. They were for a long period of time the better team in the opening round contest and had they been more ruthless in taking their chances we wouldn't have been in a position to mount the fightback that we did. They will bring that hurt into the game and look to rectify things come the final.

The added feel good factor and positivity that the u20s success will bring to the camp and the fact its playing Laois all tip the scales slightly towards Offaly I fear.

No disrespect to previous Joe McDonagh finals and winners but this final is probably the strongest one in terms of the two teams competing in the final yet. Really looking forward to it and the final should bring a big support out from both counties.

Quote from: RedHand88 on February 17, 2024, 07:30:26 PMDon't worry, the much talked about City "16 wins in a row streak" is right around the corner  ::)  ::)  ::)

Quote from: RedHand88 on March 31, 2024, 06:54:16 PMThat's our Erling! Scores 5 against Luton. #beststrikerintheworld.

Not to fear though, City will go on a 15 game winning streak (tm) any. day. now.

Just the 9 game winning streak required this season.

Not 15 or 16 or anywhere near it then? Good stuff.

He has single handidly gone a long way to F*ucking up a serious GAA Blog.
Shame on moderators.
For the past 7-10 years, I would be inclined to come on here to see opinions on games V read the newspapers after a game. Not any more.
A lot of well minded bloggers unfortunately have done likewise.

I guess that's aimed at me, as the original comment was. Am not sure what I said that was so offensive as to warrant calling in the moderators. In fact what I said I believe to be true... but time will tell and I may have to eat my words.. or not.
Been yapping for years about how much he hates Harte. Went through a new name there but still the same sh!te.

Dose.
I've said nothing personal about Harte so is hardly 'hate'. Seems to be a very touchy subject to suggest he wont lead Derry to the All Ireland. I wasn't on here previous but you tell yourself that...
