Last Stop Larrimah - crazy crazy show - well worth 2 odd hours of your time

Its bat chit, but definitely worth a watch. Seen a BBC documentary about this, kind of brings other things to light. Dom Jolly also visits the pub & does a random documentary on outback pubs. Can see the attraction in living in somewhere like Larrimah.

Finally got around to watching Dopesick - very very good.

Short too only 4 episodes!

Yes, I enjoyed this over the weekend past too.  I hadnt read the book prior. Saint Malo looks to be a beautiful place.

Really? I'd stick my head in the oven.

Or, you know, leave.

The isolation would be tempting.

Quote from: gerrykeegan on October 19, 2023, 12:27:39 PMDear Child is well worth a watch, 6 episodes, you'll find you will binge them. Germany made and will be dubbed on Netflix but if you can get over that I would highly recommend.
4 episodes into this (subtitles, f**k that dubbing shite), it is really excellent so far, I'm hoping the finish doesn't let it down.

Good show alright, well worth a watch.
I downloaded a torrent file of the series which has the option of dubbed or orig language with eng subs.I haven't watched it yet except for a sneak preview but the dubbing sounds like dull automated (as in lacking appropriate emotion) but efficient American accent as spoken by German actors. I guess I'll be going with German audio/eng subs.

5 episodes into Lessons in Chemistry and so far it's up there with the best shows I've seen in years.

No sex, no violence, no gore, no big sets, no big reveals. Just a brilliantly written and acted piece of work.

Post Mortem on NF. It's a Scandinavian oddball comedy with a reluctant vampire. (Think "Martin" with a Scandinavian sense of humour)

I'm 4 episodes in and enjoying it a lot.

Been watching the Simpson's from the start with my youngest son recently and we are now on season 7. I don't really remember watching it past about season 10 back in the day so is that when it started to be not as good? How does a current episode compare to one of 20+ years ago?

Don't go beyond the end of season 9. Ever.
