The FAI now won't have a manager for the national team until September.

Goalie Gavin Bazunu is out for ten months with an achilles injury.

John O'Shea is taking the June matches.

No-one who is upwardly mobile in football wants to manage Ireland Nil. We could be like Belgium (in a political sense, definitely not football) who had no government for some time and the civil service ran the country.

Has the mcateer lad who scored for Leicster declared for Ireland?

Captain Scarlet

May as well bring this thread back from the dead. Kenny is in with Pats now. Great for the LOI and there's a tasty tie with Duffer on Monday.
Not to drag it all up, but lads scoffing at some of the names being mentioned when the ex-boss is staying local shows his overall level. We will get what we're given when someone is eventually announced.

Mate of mine just pointed how Robbie Keane is doing well in Israel but he also sat on his arse doing nothing with the FAI for ages. Just kinda shows him up and why he is never really loved in Ireland - football Bono!
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

It still feels this is going in the direction: after leaving no stone unturned, and engaging with some of the top managers in the world (not our fault they never returned our calls), we are happy with John's results as interim manager and we are delighted to offer him the job (please take it O'Shea, we're desperate now, and ignore Duff's sniping that we treated yourself and Brian disgracefully).

Aaron Connolly let go by Hull. What is the story with that lad.

A real shame. He looked the real deal at Brighton at the beginning but seemed to have other distractions. Parrot and obafemi also have gone massively backwards after early promise. Idah's spell at Celtic at least has seemed to  get him going again.

June 4 v Hungary in Aviva Stadium

June 11 v Portugal in Aveiro, Portugal

John O'Shea still in charge.

Jell 0 Biafra

Is O'Shea interested in having the job long term, or is he just filling in?

Duff is always complaining.

When you watch him on tv, he always seems any angry little man.  Plays up for the cameras, like Davy Fitz.

'The whole world is against me' type of attitude.
